Chapter 24 Protector

(Aiden’s POV)

My father’s Beta obediently lowered his head as a response to the King’s order. It didn't take long before he excused himself to immediately begin making the arrangements.

The Queen then diverted her attention to me. She smiled sweetly signaling me to continue our conversation. “So, do you have anything to tell us, Son?” she asked, almost sounding like she already knew what she wanted to hear from me. I gave them a genuine smile, confirming whatever it is that they heard about me.

“I have found my mate, Your Majesty. She lived in the Darkwood pack led by Alpha Cyrus,” I briefly informed them about her background.

The old couple glanced at each other like teenagers. Just like me, this is what they have been anticipating for a very long time. However, I didn't want to mention how she used to be another Alpha’s Luna. I’m afraid it would cause any problems about making her my mate.
