Chapter 131: Seraphina

Seraphina POV

I tried to move, but every time I did the stabbing pain in my spine only got worse. That’s when I realized that I couldn’t feel my legs. My hand trembled as I reached behind me to feel a plastic tube that led to my back which was attached to something that was covered by medical tape on my back.

Realization dawned on me, and the shiver that ran down my spine shocked me that it didn’t hurt as it traveled through my body. That fucker had them put an epidural in me so I couldn’t move. He was keeping me drugged and lucid so I wouldn’t be able to fight him off.

Rage burned through my veins. On one hand, I was truly thankful that my baby girl was okay, but on the other hand, I was fuming that this was my life. We couldn’t catch a break. Especially during this pregnancy.

I can't read like this, only one chapter every other day...I have to delete this book, as much as I enjoyed reading it so far.
