Seraphina POV

“What is the point of all this?” I asked while motioning to the area around us. “Why am I part of this? When it was you that cheated on me with your mate!”

I could see the gears turning in Allister’s head as he calculated his answers. Black goo began to seep out of his nose again before he could speak up. He let out a curse, before getting up and grabbing a tissue off of the night stand.

In the last twenty-four hours, his weird nose bleeds, had been happening more often than not. He tossed the black soiled tissue into the trash bin next to the bed, with the others before giving me an expression I couldn’t read.

He sat on the edge of the bed and looked off at the far wall. “redire a mortuis.”
