THE CURSE

Days later, Colton, the alpha of Bloodmoon pack, paced restlessly in his chambers, his eyes fixed on the ancient tomes scattered across the wooden table. Ryder, his beta, stood watchfully by the door, his arms crossed.

"We can't keep ignoring the signs, Ryder," Colton growled, his voice low and urgent. "The curse is growing stronger by the day. Our hunters return empty-handed, our crops wither and die, and our pack members fall ill. We need to find a way to lift this curse."

Ryder nodded, his expression grim. "We've tried everything, alpha. We've performed rituals, offered sacrifices, and sought the wisdom of the elders. Nothing has worked."

Colton's gaze snapped to Brody's. "That's because we're looking for the wrong solution. We need to find a way to restore balance to the pack, to make amends for our mistake."

Ryder 's eyes narrowed. "You mean bringing Ava back?"
