WHEN Xurden returned home, he felt Yric’s presence, so he quickly entered after Marco parked the car. When he got to the door, he saw Yric watching television. “You took so long to come home. I’ve been waiting here for a while,” was all Yric said when their eyes met.

The boy was still smiling at him as if he wanted to say that he was happy to be back in that house.

“Who told you that you can let other people in here?” he said because he felt a pain in his chest. The annoyance in his voice was really noticeable. His words had an emphasis.
