Chapter 77

YRIC stood on the very tip of a tree overlooking the cottage in the middle of a dense forest. Green leafy vegetables filled the land around the cottage. At the very end of the garden, the water wheel spun moderately toward the current of the river. The cottage looks like it’s rotting in the distance because of the blackening woods used in its walls.

His servant, Cyno, was standing by his side. They were observing the inside of the cottage through the eyes of his other servant, Al. He could see the cottage’s living room where the witch Veronica and her cloaked companion were talking. Based on their conversation, he concluded that the cloaked man was the controller of their group. He waited for them to keep on talking in case they would say something more. He sensed something familiar about the man but he couldn’t figure out where he meet him.
