Chapter 99

Jaxon's POV

"Where are we going?" Melanie asks impatiently.

For the hundredth time, the only answer I give her is, "you'll see when we get there".

I can feel her excitement growing the further we drive. This is what I have been looking forward to, what I've wanted for years. I'm so glad she agreed to go.

The aquarium is about an hour away from our territory. I park in the back of the building so we can get the full VIP experience.

"Why is no one else here?" she asks, looking around the empty parking lot.

I chuckle. “That's because it doesn't open for another three hours. I walk around to open her door and grab her hand as we walk towards the back exit. Tapping the glass door, there's a blur as Mitchell uses his enhanced speed to unlock it and let us in. "Alpha...Beta," he greets, baring his neck. "You got until about 10:30 before rowdy kids and sleep deprived parents start showing up."

I nod. "Perfect."

He gives us a small smile and disappears through the door labeled, "employee's only
