Mel's POV

"Has there never been an accident?" I inquire.

"I've heard maybe once or twice, but the Alpha Council came and cleaned it up. Wiped all of the humans memories that were here. That's why we try to maintain a low-stress environment."

I'm surprised he knows who the Council are, but his dad was a higher-ranked wolf after all.

We eat in silence for a while, listening to the live jazz music being played on the stage. The food tastes amazing, but I expect nothing less after peeping the prices on the menu. I doubt Malcom is even going to pay since his father is the owner. Who knows how many girls he has brought here, and there's no doubt he'll be expecting this date to lead somewhere else. I've already made up my mind though, I'm not having sex with anyone else but Jaxon...at least not until our time together is up.

"Miller told me your favorite flowers are roses and sunflowers. Just to make sure he just wasn't fucking with me, is that true?"
