Feeling the rays of sunlight on my cheek, I opened my eyes. The first thing I noticed was a bundle of money on the table. I sat straight and took it in my hands, confused. There was a note attached to it – ‘Pay him for the cell phone. I’m leaving.’

I understood the money was from Hayden but where did he go? Questioning myself, I stood straight. Hoping he would come soon, I freshened up and waited for him but he didn’t show up. It scared me. Millions of worries revolved around my head and I could not think of anything properly. Although I believed he went to his guesthouse, I could not stop getting scared. After everything that had happened, it was hard for me not to worry about us.

When I kept pacing back and forth, the knock on the door relieved me but seeing Eric and Mira in front of me, my hope shattered.

“Oh, My God! You are safe.” Mira threw her arms around me. “We were so worried about you.” I noticed a layer of water in her eyes. She was so scared and anxious about me.
