Gone mad

Could it be the official end of my relationship? Did he leave me? Did he find me boring and annoying after everything we have gone through? Many questions revolved around my head to which I had no answers. It felt like he was doing it for a purpose but a part of me kept telling me my existence truly burdened him as he had to kneel in front of his father putting aside his pride.

“You okay?” Eric put his palm on my shoulder.

“Why did he do that?” I looked at Eric. “Am I the reason for his suffering? Did I make him weak?”

Eric sat beside me, shaking his head. He held my hand in a tighter grip to console me but I was not crying. It felt like my tears drained.

“He doesn’t deserve you. Those people are not trusted.” Rodney spoke.

I kept quiet. After hearing Hayden's words, I lost my sense to think properly. It was all void in and out of me.
