Eden had not given her phone number to anyone but her closest friends, none of whom would ever do this to her. The voice that said her name sent chills down her spine. It was the sound of a grown man, but it sounded wrong in so many ways. Eden blocked the number and looked outside the window thinking who it could be, then she remembered that if Bennett got her number, anyone could. She texted Grace asking her if she gave her phone number to Bennett or Theo. Grace replied in a minute saying that she didn't.
Eden closed her eyes and leaned back on the seat, waiting to get home faster. When she reached her apartment, she paid the driver and pulled out her bag. Outside the building of her apartment complex, she saw a weird looking man leaning against the door as he smoked a cigarette. He was wearing a black shirt, black jeans and a cap and sunglasses on his face. Eden paid no attention to h
Eden started panicking as she saw that ger hands were tied. Though the rope was loosely tied, she still couldn't get herself out of it.She realised something was different with her and looked down to see her body. She was no longer in the black dress and heels she had left in. She was wearing a short, light pink, silk nightgown that had thin straps, a very deep neckline and reached above her mid thigh. She felt relieved that she was still wearing her own undergarments. On her feet she was wearing white translucent stockings that reached up her thigh. Why would anyone dress me like that? She thought to herself. She didn't know who changed her clothes or what they did to her body while she was passed out.Eden pulled and twisted on the ropes, in hope's to break it but it was of no use. She heard the door creek open and she
Eden slowly opened her eyes when she heard a knock on the door. She said loudly, "No, don't come in." The door opened and a woman walked in with a tray of food. "Oh great, come in anyway. What was the point of knocking?"The woman looked distraught. She looked at Eden guiltily and placed the tray of food on the bed, just enough for Eden to pick up anything she wanted and eat it. "I'm sorry, Miss. Orders from sir," she said and walked out the room and Eden heard the familiar click of the door locking.Eden looked at the tray and saw that there was a big bowl of chicken soup, apple slices, breadsticks and a glass of water. The smell of the soup was filling up the room and Eden's mouth watered. She kept looking at the food but decided not to even touch it because it might be spiked with drugs.
As Eden's eyes fluttered open, Carter tilted his head and grinned at her. He had piercing eyes that didn't show any emotion, he was smiling widely but his eyes were dead and void of any normal human emotion.Eden abruptly jerked away as she saw him. She blamed herself for falling asleep again. She looked at her clothes and sighed in relief when she saw she had not changed into new clothes. She did not like the idea of being changed in her sleep, whether it was by housemaids or anyone else."Get the fuck away from me, you creep," Eden spat at him as she crouched into a ball on the other side of the bed. Carted shifted on the bed, trying to move closer to her. "I said, GET AWAY!"On hearing Eden tell so loudly, he raised his arms up in defense and shifted back to h
. It was night now and Eden hadn't changed her position even once. There was a soft knock on the door. Eden lazily looked at the time and saw that it was 2 AM. She looked toward the door, hoping it was not Carter.A short figure walked in. She instantly recognised her. It was the housemaid, she was standing there with a knife in her hand. The woman walked closer to Eden and started cutting off the ropes that tied her hands. Eden was completely alert now. Am I leaving? Am I really going to be free? She whispered slowly to the woman, "What are you doing?""I have done everything for that man but this is something I can't stand for. When you leave
Grace's Point Of View:Grace waited at the table as she ordered another glass of wine. She had already finished all the free breadsticks the restaurant had put on the table. She called Eden many times but she didn't pick up and didn't reply to any of her texts. She had started to get worried when her phone buzzed, she picked it up to see a text from Eden which said: 'Forgot about assignment deadline, need to finish tonight. See you later.'Her text sounded weird to Grace. There was not a single text in their chat history where Eden hadn't used at least one shortcut word.Maybe the studying and hard work finally caught up to her. There's no telling with this girl, Grace th
"I just ordered a $5 fish and chips and you're probably eating a $100 meal, no way I'm paying for you," said Theo jokingly."Hey!" Grace exclaimed as she smacked his arm. "It's actually just $89, okay?""Fine, fine," Theo laughed. Soon his food arrived and they ate and laughed for a long time until it was time to go back. The restaurant was about to close already, with just a couple of tables occupied, but neither Theo nor Grace wanted to go back. They knew it was too soon to go to each other's home already, and they were fighting the impulse to kiss and get somewhere private. Grace looked around the restaurant awkwardly and said, "It's getting empty, haha.""Yeah, it is," said Theo. He was unfazed by it all. He kept looking at Grace lovingly and smiled when he caught her eye. Grace couldn't handle the tension anymore, so she got up and decided to make it known to him that it was time to leave. Theo got up with her and walked out together. "Well, I'll get a cab now, you should leav
Eden's point of view:Eden sat in her bed and shivered, unable to sleep the entire night. The sun had started coming up and the room started brightening up through the skylight. She couldn't stop staring at the blood on the wall. The man had carried away Aliana's body, but her blood still painted a huge chunk of the wall. The scene kept repeating over and over in her head, how Carter had not even thought for a second to kill the woman. Several drops of blood had flew over and hit Eden's face too.Aliana had only tried to help her escape. She was a good woman and she was paid with nothing but death, right in front of Eden's eyes. After Carter had killed her, he had sat on Eden's bed and said to her, "Don't be scared, princess. I'll never hurt you like that." He tucked a strand of hair behind Eden's ear. She knew the gun wasn't on safety, he had just used it to kill someone. But she didn't care about herself, she just kept staring at the mad drage the dead body across the floor and out
Eden felt someone shake her shoulders forcefully, and she broke out of thoughts to see Bennett looking at her with concern. "Eden, say something. Are you okay?"Eden looked at him confusedly and said, "Huh?" She looked around and saw that there was no one around except her and Bennett. She took a deep sigh of relief and got up. Bennett supported her as they walked over to the bathroom. He gently stripped Eden out of all her clothes and helped her get into the bath. He got on his knees and sat outside the bathtub as he scrubbed Eden's bare back. He pulled the fauced closer to her head and washed her hair and then cleaned her face. Water diluted with blood dripped from her chin in the bath water. Eden kept staring at it and was reminded that it was Aliana's blood. Tears started flowing from her eyes."He killed her," Eden whispered. Bennett stopped scrubbing her and leaned in closer, and asked "What?""He killed Aliana, the housekeeper," said Eden, a bit louder. "She was trying to hel
