As Eden's eyes fluttered open, Carter tilted his head and grinned at her. He had piercing eyes that didn't show any emotion, he was smiling widely but his eyes were dead and void of any normal human emotion.
Eden abruptly jerked away as she saw him. She blamed herself for falling asleep again. She looked at her clothes and sighed in relief when she saw she had not changed into new clothes. She did not like the idea of being changed in her sleep, whether it was by housemaids or anyone else.
