Chapter 143

Eden felt someone shake her shoulders forcefully, and she broke out of thoughts to see Bennett looking at her with concern. "Eden, say something. Are you okay?"

Eden looked at him confusedly and said, "Huh?" She looked around and saw that there was no one around except her and Bennett. She took a deep sigh of relief and got up.

Bennett supported her as they walked over to the bathroom. He gently stripped Eden out of all her clothes and helped her get into the bath. He got on his knees and sat outside the bathtub as he scrubbed Eden's bare back. He pulled the fauced closer to her head and washed her hair and then cleaned her face. Water diluted with blood dripped from her chin in the bath water. Eden kept staring at it and was reminded that it was Aliana's blood. Tears started flowing from her eyes.
