Melody's POV:

"Do it."

"I won't."

"Just do it."

"I said, I won't."

"Oh, just make them shut up!" I exclaimed suddenly.

Amelia looked at me from her couch giving me an odd look.

"Why are you even watching that? They're wearing my ears off." I muttered with a frown looking at the TV.

Grace giggled at my words while coloring her drawings on the floor.

"Who said to listen to them? Just look at how hot they are." She said turning back to the screen.

I looked at her unbelievably. Is she even allowed to say such things in front of her little sister?

"Fine! I'll play a movie or something." She said when I hit her arm.

She took out the DVDs flipping through them. While Grace stood up, took her handiwork and went upstairs. That was my queue.

"Can I ask you something?" I asked after a while.

She looked up from the pile of jumbled up DVDs and raised a brow in question.

"What if...there's someone who is trapped between two things. A wall and her friend. She knows that if she walks over to the wall

Melody's POV:I was still frozen at my spot even though I can hear the clicking of heels coming closer. Before the person could've found me standing there and probably throw me out of the building, I opened the nearest door and went inside. Those were my first instincts.I closed the door behind me hearing the footsteps retreat. I took a sigh of relief but held it back in when I noticed where I was.Right in front of me was a puzzled looking Asher.I mean, I was kind of relieved that I made it to him without dying but as the situation sank in I realized that I hadn't been more nervous than this.Judging from the look on his face he looked pretty surprised to see me too."Melody? What are you doing here?" He asked with furrowed eyebrows. He probably must have thought that I wouldn't come, right? After all he asked me to come at evening not...night. But it wasn't my fault. If only I hadn't been stuck with that makeup artist.I fidgets with my hand on the door knob not sure what to say.

Melody's POV:Sometimes I wish a person had the full control of it's life in it's own hands. Wouldn't that be perfect? You decide your own future. You could've done anything thinking that the consequences were totally in your hands. Life would've been amazing."Hey Mel." Cameron said leaning on my desk as I placed the painting in a bag giving to the girl with the red hair."You look worked up, Cameron." I said looking at his sleepy eyes.It almost made me yawn looking at them."That's because I am worked up." He concluded.I wiped my hands on my apron and sat down on my chair blowing out a sigh."So I was just wondering...if we go out to a bar or something." He asked suddenly.I looked at him. I'm sure something was definitely wrong."Why would you want that?" I asked narrowing my eyes."Maybe that's how Daphne will come along too. She won't come if it's only me, you know." He added with sad eyes. He's such an actor."You're falling badly for her, Cam. It could possibly ruin you menta

Melody's POV:Maybe I was too drunk that I was imagining him. Or how else would he be here? Maybe this was a dream after all."What were you doing with him?" He asked with a frown.Even if he was my imagination, I didn't want to lose him."He was fucking touching you, Melody. Why didn't you stop him?" He asked angrily. His grip around my waist was spreading the tingles throughout my body. I missed that. I wanted that."You're really here?" I murmured. My hand instinctively reached out and touched his face slowly. He was real. I could feel the same comforting presence whenever he was around."Of course, I'm here." He muttered, the frown still on his face.Normal Melody would've been embarrassed at this situation. But I wasn't. I touched his eyes slowly as a smile formed on my face."You aren't supposed to be with anybody else." He said leaning even closer."But I liked him." I mumbled.I don't even know why I said that. I guess my drunk self was too drunk to even realise that."No, you

Melody's POV: I felt sunlight shining in my eyes making me open them. For a single moment, it felt like everything was spinning as I opened my eyes. I blinked them several times before I could finally make out the room I was in. It was my room. That wasn't the problem. The problem was my head, which was burning inside like it was on fire. I slowly sat up clutching my head. My head felt like it was a burning mess, like my brain had turned into jelly. Pulling my hair away from my face, I saw a paper on the side table with a glass of water. I looked at it for a while with a frown before picking it up. " I didn't left regretting anything that happened last night, if that's what you're thinking. I just had some things to do. Take the aspirin and the headache would be fine. I'll see you soon, angel." I looked at the words for a while before blowing out a small sigh. How did he know I was thinking that? I took the glass of water and gulped down the aspirin. I didn't know your head hu

Melody's POV:"What is it?" Asher asked looking at my sudden change of expression.I looked at him abruptly as my heart raced. Taking a step back I looked behind him once again but couldn't see Tyler anywhere.I swear I just saw him right now."Mel, what's wrong?" He asked a bit worried now as he followed my gaze behind him.Maybe I was just imagining him."I...it's nothing. I just thought I saw someone." I said forcing a small smile on my face.He looked back at me with a frown that indicated he didn't believe me. I don't know why but all of a sudden this whole place and the people were making it hard to breathe."Is it the people?" He asked. You could almost see some of them trying their best to make out what we were talking about. I don't know why people can't mind their own business."I...think so." I lied looking anywhere but his eyes.I was thankful that he didn't seem to notice the hesitation in my voice. I didn't want to lie to him but it was for the best."Can we get away fro

Melody's POV:I wished the time would stop when I was with Asher. However, it turned out to be quite impossible when Asher told me about his Canada concert."He'd be gone for a whole week and a half." I whined in the pillow. It sounded so lame as it was just a week but it seemed too long to me. I heard a sound of disapproval from Amelia's mouth at my whining."You can't sulk about it your whole life." She muttered. She had been busy since I had came in her room the next morning. It was some sort of poster she was making for an exhibition."I'm not sulking." I muttered.I'll just miss him. I just don't know how I'll go through a day without him."You can come with me." He said looking at me expectantly. That had took me by surprise. But he and I both knew that wasn't as possible as it sounds. I didn't even have a passport."I can't, Asher." I said sadly. He smiled with a shrug and pulled me closer to him."Doesn't matter. It's hardly a week and a half. I'll call you each day. Or every

Melody's POV:I looked up at him as my breath suddenly got caught in my throat. As if sensing my sudden shock, Hazel licked my hand."Tyler?" I asked in almost a whisper.Part of me thought he couldn't be really here but the other part of me knew perfectly well that he was real. I did saw him before after all.He looked the same. He hadn't changed at all. For a moment I thought that I was dreaming this all. This couldn't be real. Those same light green eyes and that same smile.I swear it almost paralyzed me until Amelia came."Hey Mel, I jus- Oh! Hi." Amelia said as she came beside me looking at Tyler. "You guys know each other?"I looked at Tyler still speechless. I couldn't make myself say another word. Because it felt like my whole insides were turning."Yeah. I know Melody." He said with a small smile.I couldn't help but feel slightly panicked and nauseous when he said my name. He wasn't supposed to be here. How could he just say my name like it didn't matter?"Really?" Melody's POV:"Hm." I replied."You didn't even hear what I said." Asher said gently.I sighed and closed my eyes. He was right. I didn't even hear a single word he was saying. The thing was, now I wasn't sure what excuse to make up."I'm sorry." I murmured as my voice got muffled in my pillow.I could almost feel my heart lighten up as I imagined him smiling."Is something bothering you?" He asked.I almost told him everything about Tyler. I almost told him how much I hated Tyler being here. I almost told him to make me come there with him, out from here.Instead, I kept quiet."Mel?" He asked again.I closed my eyes and sighed."Things have happened." I said choosing my words carefully."What kind of things?" He asked confused.I looked at the ceiling as if it could give me some ways to answer that question."I'll tell you when you come back." I replied.I heard voices from the other hand which meant he was probably busy. I wish it wasn't like this."Do you want me to come back now?

Melody's POV:"I think that's...more than enough." I said eyeing the amount of flour."No no no. I think it needs more of it." Lana picked up the pack of flour and started adding it in the dough. Which looked a bit rough.I took it from her before it completely fell in the bowl. Not getting the clue that it was a lot, she still stuffed her tiny hands in the dough."Why is it so hard?" She asked before stumbling back at the stool she was standing on. Thankfully, I caught her right in time. But the bad thing was that I kind of lost my footing."Woah-" Asher was right in time to stop me from falling. "-I thought you guys were baking cookies?"Lana straightened up and hopped back on the stool. No wonder she was excited."We were." I poked a finger at the dough. "But someone added a lot of flour."Asher pulled me against him and chuckled."Aw, I thought I was good at baking!" Lana complained with a pout before wrapping her arms around my neck. I wasn't surprised how she liked hugs just like

Melody's POV:When I opened my eyes, I wasn't in that same alley. Or that same street. I didn't have any idea where I was. Except that I was in a car. And the car was driving off to somewhere. It took me minutes before my view adjusted over to the speeding car. Blinking for a while, I straightened up and looked to my left."Cameron?" I heard my voice breaking out the silence.Realization hit me like ice cold water."Didn't think you'd wake up this soon." He muttered before changing the gear and speeding the car.I had to grip my seat from falling over. Looking over at him, I realized how he was the same as I'd last seen him. But then again, he wasn't. Something was different. This wasn't the Cameron who gave me a ride from that disastrous party."What...what are you doing?" I asked, gulping my sudden fear.My head still ached a bit.I saw him give me a glance before back at the road. Both the sides of the road were covered with trees. The night wasn't helping either."I'm finishing it

Melody's POV:When Asher had made me listen to his new songs, I had fallen in love with him. All over again."Can I point out how much talented you actually are?" I asked, taking off the headphones he had given me earlier. Turning around in the chair, I faced him. He was sitting on the grey couch at the corner of the room, waiting for my reaction."Really?"I narrowed my eyes at him."Are you serious? How can you not have any confidence in this?" I asked pointing off to the large screen. He leaned back on the couch with a shrug."I was thinking of not releasing that one." He pointed off to the song I was just listening. The song that made me fall in love with him. Again. My eyes widened at that."I swear to God, I'm not letting you make the biggest mistake of your life." I said.I saw some of his nervousness draining away as a smile twitched on his lips."Biggest mistake?"I turned around before looking at the screen all over again."I'm sorry, Asher, but I'll have to break up with yo

Melody's POV:"So when am I getting a sneak peak on your new album?" I asked as we exited the café.Today was the last day at college, the last day of the semester. Part of me felt sad leaving my friends and part of me was looking forward to the vacations."You aren't." Asher said walking beside me.I frowned and looked at him. "Why not?"He ran a hand through his brown curls. Something felt off about him."Because I'm going through a major case of self doubt right now." He replied. My lips twitched into a smile but I stifled it for his sake."Oh, come on." I nudged his arm lightly. "You and I both know how perfect it's going to be."He looked at me, still in doubt."You haven't even listened to it.""Well, that's why I am asking you to give me a sneak peak." Looking back where Asher had been, I didn't see him anywhere. I knew I had to talk to him."Where's everybody else?" I asked her, referring to Selina and Riley."Oh, they're back there." She waved her hand behind her.As if on cue, Riley came followed by Selina."That was some serious performance."I took out my phone, texting Asher.Me: Where did you go?"It would've been, only if that girl beside me hadn't been screaming like shit." Selina said with an eye roll.A part of me wasn't expecting Asher to reply. Not at all. But when I felt my phone vibrate in my hand, I perked up.Asher: Backstage.I didn't see the reason to waste anymore time than I already had."I'll catch a ride back myself. See you guys later." Melody's POV:As expected, dad hadn't taken the news as easy as Amelia had. At first, judging from his expression, I knew he didn't believe me. Thankfully, I had Amelia by my side."Melody, this isn't some kind of joke." He had said, looking between me and Amelia."It isn't, dad." I had told him. "I do remember everything."I had told him about my flashbacks just like I told Amelia. He had been surprised. I knew it would be harder confessing this to him than anybody else. But when he had given me a relieved hug, everything had been worth it.Thankfully, none of us talked about my mother. I was trying my best to forget her. Saying that I didn't miss her would be wrong. I did miss her so much. And I knew this wasn't her fault. But I didn't want to face her above all of this. And I think dad felt the same way."Things could've been worse." Melody's POV:What I had imagined once I'd get my memory back was everything getting happier and alive once again. For some reason, it turned out to be the exact opposite.Mainly because my missing memory had been gone for a reason. I hadn't been ready. And now that I knew it, I'm sure why I wasn't ready to accept it.But I had promised to try and move on. Everyone had already moved on. Only I was left behind spending my entire weekend with Asher. I hadn't been ready to leave him and face the reality. I was scared what I'll face.Until today. When I went back to my college, I was expecting something different. After all, Riley had been there with me. The girl who can't keep such kind of an incident all to herself. Thinking that she wouldn't have told anyone would be impossible for me.I couldn't blame her.Surprisingly, when I went back, I didn't notice people staring at me. Nobody glanced at me the second time.
