Thirty Seven

Melody's POV:

"Hm." I replied.

"You didn't even hear what I said." Asher said gently.

I sighed and closed my eyes. He was right. I didn't even hear a single word he was saying. The thing was, now I wasn't sure what excuse to make up.

"I'm sorry." I murmured as my voice got muffled in my pillow.

I could almost feel my heart lighten up as I imagined him smiling.

"Is something bothering you?" He asked.

I almost told him everything about Tyler. I almost told him how much I hated Tyler being here. I almost told him to make me come there with him, out from here.

Instead, I kept quiet.

"Mel?" He asked again.

I closed my eyes and sighed.

"Things have happened." I said choosing my words carefully.

"What kind of things?" He asked confused.

I looked at the ceiling as if it could give me some ways to answer that question.

"I'll tell you when you come back." I replied.

I heard voices from the other hand which meant he was probably busy. I wish it wasn't like this.
