Chapter Seventy Two

She opened her eyes and turned to look at Alice, still laying lifeless on the floor. Her heart sank. She closed her eyes, trying to quiet the world around her and retrace her steps but that was a mistake because immediately she closed her eyes, she felt her presence. Zoe, she had come along with her. Louis walked up to Alice and touched her. Her body felt cold and she turned around to look at Liam who was staring at her.

“Where is Alice? Why didn’t you bring her back?” Liam asked her.

“I don’t know what happened, she should be back by now. I found her, I traded my freedom for her soul. She should have come back with me!” Louis said to him, confused as ever.

The front door flung opened and they both gasped. Doris stood in front of them and Louis stood up. She waved her hand in the air and that sent Doris flying across the hall way.
