CHAPTER 96

OWEN'S POV

I slammed the door of our room as I walked to the bed and sat on the bed. My eyes took in the view of the room, the scattered papers and squeezed ones lying all over the floor and I clenched my fist.

“Charlotte.” I called out but there was no response. I got up as I checked the bathroom but there was no sign of her there.

I searched her room and everywhere I thought she could be but she was nowhere to be found. Is she out with this so-called mysterious stranger again?

My anger started to rise as I walked back to the room and started to pace around while waiting for her to get back.

About an hour passed before I heard a car drive in and I moved the curtains to see her step out and make her way inside the house.

She looked exhausted and tired but I was too angry to care. All I wanted was an explanation. A valid one.
