I could see the worry in Tristan’s eyes as the plan was never to leave me alone with Asher. But if I let him go alone, then he might likely come over to the shop and walk in when Jaden was around and innocently playing around the shop.

I tried to tell him with my eyes that it was okay and I’ll be fine. This monster couldn’t eat me up, he could only try to break me but I wouldn’t allow him.

I suddenly had found the courage to talk back to him as my son's need for safety pushed me to be bolder. I could feel his eyes all over me from when we both came down from the car till when Tristan stood up for his call and came back.

I wanted to call him out on it but refrained after thinking that he might be purposely doing it just to spite me or force me to react to it.

I wasn’t here for his games,neither here to be his game either, so I did what I could and ignored him all through as I could feel him boiling as I paid no attention to his tactics.
