Evelyn's pov

I was still boiling over what that idiot had done in the kitchen, and it was in this very sour mood that my father found me in the living room; he immediately noticed that I was not happy.

“What's wrong my dear?” He immediately asked me as he settled down right next to me to sit down, I looked at him, and a flash of guilt that I always felt whenever I saw his sincere face struck my heart again.

I was only holding back because I was worried for his health, he had just gotten out of coma and the doctor told me that the last thing he needed was any great shock. Now what would be a greater shock than realizing that the son-in-law that he held so high and the wife that he had adored much had betrayed him in the worst way possible?
