Evelyn's pov

I found my stepmother in the garden and she was not even alone, just when I thought I could not be more disgusted by this man, he somehow managed to get on my nerves even more.

“Alex, what do you think you're doing? This is broad daylight somebody might catch us!” I heard my stepmother's worried voice as I got closer to the tree that I was seeing their familiar figures.
