CHAPTER 30 - Our Son May Not Be Dead

The Smith family members were all tense.

“Sister Sophia!” Iris exclaimed in surprise.

She rushed forward and took Sophia's arm. “Sister Sophia, what brings you here?”

Amelia had introduced Sophia to the Smith family, so she was familiar with everyone.

“I was passing by your house today and decided to drop in,” Sophia replied with a smile.

She paused and looked at John and Olivia in the living room. “I hope you don't mind my unexpected visit?”

To say that they didn't mind would be a lie.

After all, in their eyes, Sophia was Amelia's good friend. Amelia had caused the death of their son, and they weren't exactly welcoming to this good friend.

But as people with status and reputation, John didn't want to worsen their relationship, so he casually raised his hand.

“Of course not, Miss Jones, please have a seat.”

Sophia graciously sat down on the sofa.

“May I ask if there is anything you need, Miss Jones?” John asked.

Sophia smiled. “To be honest, I came because I saw some photos online.”
