CHAPTER 38 - We Can Only Be Enemies

After she finished speaking, she opened the door and got out of the car.

Leo felt a surge of blood rush to his head. He was indescribably depressed and unhappy.

He suddenly shouted, “Why are you acting so awkward?”

Amelia stopped for a moment and stood still.

Leo continued, “I heard about George's divestment. Now that there's a financial issue abroad, Wilson's headquarters is simply unable to support you.”

“The news on the internet is preventing you from attracting investment in a short period. If this continues, the platform you’ve worked so hard to build is likely to slowly fade under the dual pressure of public opinion and the economy. Is that really what you want?”

Amelia stood there in a daze.

After a while, she said softly, “What do you want me to say?”

“Cooperate with me, I can help you.”

Amelia laughed at herself. The more she laughed, the more tears welled up in her eyes.

She said softly, “Do you think I would cooperate with a murderer?”
