CHAPTER 37 - Have You Been Drinking?

**On the Other Side**

After leaving the Smith family, Amelia didn’t rush home but went to a nearby bar instead. When she was upset, she often felt like drinking, but she rarely let herself get drunk.

However, today was different. A bond that had existed in her heart for many years suddenly broke, and she couldn’t accept it. So, she drank quickly and heavily and soon got drunk.

Mark came to the bar with a friend after work and happened to run into her. Seeing her sitting alone at the bar, drinking and swaying, he became alarmed and hurried over, leaving his friend behind.

“Miss Smith, are you okay?” he asked.

Amelia, supported by him, turned her head and looked at him, then laughed. “Mark... haha... I remember you... come on, have a drink with me.”

Mark took her glass away. “Miss Smith, you’re drunk. You can’t drink anymore. Come down, I’ll take you home.”
