Her First Love

 Attractive and beautiful woman with most precious smile was Nina Fernandez. It was a well-known restaurant of the city and she was there with her friend, Sara. Nina was married to a small heighted but a very loving guy, Fernandez. They lived in a posh area of city.

  “I don’t believe in marriage; it is not more than a jail” the words shook her but more than that it was the voice which she could recognize among thousands. It was the voice of her ex- boyfriend, Oscar Hurt, who was with some classy looking lady. Nina was stunned to saw Oscar after 10 years.

“What happened? Are you alright?” asked Sara.

“Yes, everything is perfect” Nina replied. How comes life so unpredictable, the person i wanted in my life is now in front of me and I don’t know how to react” she thought. She was clueless what to do next. Either she should leave immediately or she should just get up and hug him ignoring everyone around and ignoring the fact that she is a married woman and a mother.

“Listen Sara, the man sitting right behind you is Oscar” Nina whispered.

“What? You mean Oscar Hurt, your ex?” Sara asked.

“I don’t know what to do next” Nina was still confused and full of mixed emotions.

“Just talk to him, at least a formal Hello, hi, otherwise you will keep this regret in your rest of life” Sara added.

“But I don’t know about his current life, I don’t know who is that lady? I don’t know what to say? I don’t know how he will react, I left him at the time when he was down in his life”. her voice trembled.

“don’t think about anything, just go and talk to him, look that lady might be going to use restroom, don’t waste a second” Sara advised after she noticed that the lady with Oscar had left her seat.

Nina gathered her emotions and went to Oscar, who was sitting at ease and was looking at his mobile, he was in a white shirt and black pant and sleeves were well rolled. He was wearing a decent watch and his hairs were giving wet look and elegance was there in his overall look and dressing. He was over 6 feet in his early 30’s with a well-maintained beard which was adding his masculinity.

“hi” Nina couldn’t add more than that. Oscar took his eyes off from mobile screen and shocked to see Nina after many years.

“Nina! Hey, how you doing? Good to see you after so long” Oscar stood up. He was surprised but he was good in controlling his emotions.

“I am good, you didn’t change a bit. I was here with my friend for lunch, I hope I didn’t disturb you” Nina asked.

“of course not, I am here with my colleague and a friend, Amanda” Oscar added.

“I have seen her, she is a beautiful woman, she will be a wonderful choice if you are not married yet” Nina said what she never wanted to say. Even she herself was married but still she never wanted to see Oscar with any other woman, she was possessive about him.

“Hey, I don’t believe on such stuff, what if I say I still love you and no woman can take that place, any woman can share the bed but I can’t give commitment to anyone” Oscar said in firm tone. These words shook Nina, she was like she was stuck in a wall, she was speechless.

 “You know I am married and a mother too, you should settle your life too” Nina gathered words and replied.

“Good to hear that you are settled but there is a huge difference between being settle and being happy, I wish I could hear that you are happy in your life and your life is complete, but well its your life and your choices, hope you have got what you wanted” Oscar added. Nina was like she shouldn’t come there, she was shocked how Oscar still love her but his last words were like taunts to Nina.

“hello, who is this beautiful lady, Oscar” Amanda joined and asked right away about Nina.

“This beautiful and intelligent lady is Nina, Nina Martinez, she was most beautiful girl of this city and still no one can beat her in beauty” Oscar was all into admiring her.

“Correction please! I am Nina Fernandez and Oscar is good in exaggerating things, I am just a common girl of this big city whom a very few people know and I am an ordinary person in looks as you can see” Nina replied.

“ well Nina, I am from among few people who know you, and no doubt Oscar is not exaggerating, you are beautiful, I know you from middle school, we were class mates back then but I changed the school after few months” Amanda told in a exciting tone.

“oh now I recognize you, good to see you” Nina was more comfortable now.

“Oscar also told me about your relation, I wish you people never felt apart as you people are perfect couple, but its life and life is really unpredictable” Amanda added.

Both Oscar and Nina agreed with Amanda and they looked into each other’s eyes.

“now I am leaving, see you Nina, and will call you later Oscar” Amanda left and Oscar offered her a ride which she accepted as her friend Sara has some shopping left, she also wanted to spend some more time with Oscar. They both left the restaurant. Oscar opened the door of car for her, that reminded Nina about the time when they were together.

“he is not changed but time has changed a lot” she thought.

“Oscar, I wanted to see you again but never knew it was like that, I am ashamed how I left you at that time, I was so selfish but I never forget you, you are my first love and first love is always special” Nina broke the silence when Oscar started driving.

“Look Nina, I don’t know what to reply, I love you and don’t know about first and last love”. Oscar was firm in his claim that she is the only one whom he ever loved.

Now this conversation is really swinging her mind, the one whom she left still loves him and she was such a fool who lost the person who was his ideal and she also have feelings for him which never developed with her husband who loves her but why its happening, she is clueless. She couldn’t hold herself and placed her hand on Oscar’s hand.

Oscar looked in her eyes and gave her a sweet smile, “how is it going with your husband?”

Even she wanted to tell Oscar that the way she always felt with him, such feelings never developed in all those years of her marriage despite the fact that her husband loves her. But she replied, “He loves me a lot, and most importantly he is father of my daughter”.

“Oscar, I hope I can see you again, and I want to keep you in my life” Nina added.

“Where to drop you? Guide me” Oscar inquired. He wanted to show his feelings for her but fact was that she was married and this title really created many limits.

Her hand was still firmly placed on Oscar’s hand, and she was guiding him the right way. When car stopped at her house, Nina offered him a coffee as he use to love it. “no one is at home, and I will not let you go without having your favorite coffee,” Nina asked while holding his hand.

“How can I reject such an offer” Oscar accepted with a smile.

This was beautifully decorated house; everything was placed so perfectly like it was set by some interior designer. He knew Nina was best in managing things. She was always disciplined and elegant in her choices. She used to decorate and manage Oscar’s apartment when they were together.

“Will you join me in kitchen or you are comfortable sitting here?” Nina asked, she was excited.

“I would love to join you” Oscar replied and trailed with her in kitchen.

She remembered how Oscar used to grab her from behind when she made coffee. Those were the days she could never forget. Her husband was loving but he was never into such romance.

Suddenly she felt Oscar’s hand on her waist. She could feel his breath near her neck. “I love you, you are the most beautiful woman on this earth” Oscar whispered in her ears.

She was stunned, shivering with emotions. She didn’t know what to do and how to react and next second, she felt the kiss on her neck which took her into past. Oscar loved to kiss at her neck and it was best feeling she felt again after years.

“Good bye and see you at same place tomorrow evening”. Oscar whispered and moved away.

She couldn’t able to move for next few minutes. Oscar left but she was still frozen at same place and shivering. For her time has stopped, “why he left? I really wanted to be with him” thoughts were blowing her mind.

She sat on the chair and took the cup of coffee and started sipping and that tall, dark and handsome completely shattered her emotions and strength. She started thinking, “Is he my first love or only love?”
