Alice soon fell asleep as she was exhausted from the long Drive, but it wasn’t a deep slumber. She stirred awake by a faint tingling sensation that lingered on her back and hips.

Her eyes fluttered open when she realized someone was tracing mindless circles on her arm. She stared straight into Devon’s eyes, and her breath hitched. Her eyes flew wide open when she realized how close they were. Their noses were almost touching.

“You are finally awake, it worked,” He said softly, Devon continued tracing mindless circles around her arm, when he felt how tense she had become.

Looking at her sleeping face, and caressing her face was the only way Devon could think of to wake his mate up. and she finally did wake up

After all the troubles they had encountered for the past few days, the sight of her sleeping gave him peace. listening to her heart rhythm gave him comfort, and life to his dead soul.

Meanwhile, Alice, who was still a little disoriented after waking up, finally relaxed because sh
