The young girl stared at herself in the mirror and smiled. She was dressed in a white turtleneck and a black leather jacket with black jeans and white sneakers. She perused her face in the mirror and reached for her makeup which she used to enhanced her cheekbones and she made her eyebrows thicker than usual. Loving her new manly look, she nodded and grabbed a bobby pin which she used and hold her hair all back before putting on the short brown-haired wig. She arranged the wig with her fingers, making it a little messy and then she pouted her lips at herself in the mirror before she chuckled and left to pick up her backpack that was resting on her bed.
Stepping out of her bedroom, she called out in a feminine voice at the next door, “Granny, I’m leaving for school.” “Okay my dear, I will have food ready by the time you are back,” an elderly woman’s voice rang from the room. “Don’t stress yourself Granny, if you can’t handle it, I will prepare it when I’m back.” “Oh dear, thank you so much.” “I love you Granny.” “I love you too dear.” Getting the confirmation from the woman, she smiled and walked down the lobby. Jogging down the stairs, she grabbed the car key hanging by the wall. When she got outside, she stopped on the porch and closed her eyes, breathing in the cool air of the morning. Wow, what a beautiful day to continue with her charade, she smiled and did a small run to the red truck parked in the driveway. She got in and started the car, the engine roared to life and she nodded in support before tuning in to a pop station in the radio. Nodding her head to the Lil Wayne song coming from the speakers, she put the car in a reverse and soon she was speeding down the streets of the slightly empty streets. Her school was in the middle of the city and it takes forty-five minutes every morning to get school but she loved the distance, it made it much more easier to keep up with her lie. Enjoying her usual morning ride, she rested her head on her seat with her right hand outside the window and smiling at everyone she passed that glanced at her. Ah, life was sweet. Getting to school, she blew out a deep breath and cleared her throat before she pulled in her private driveway. Yep, no matter how full the parking lot is, no one dares park there, no one. She killed the engine and got down from the car, glancing at the side mirror to check her hair and putting on the finishing touches before turning to face the school with a killer smile. She winked at the three girls that were in a blue convertible that pulled in next to her and they giggled. “Hi Oliver,” one of the girls greeted with a seductive smile. “Hello angel,” she said in a deep husky voice, “looking so sweet this morning,” she leaned on the door of the car, watching her object of interest. The girl giggled and turned to him, “how is your morning?” “Better now that I am looking at you,” she teased. The girl chuckled sexily and touched the tip of Oliver’s nose, “you are never at lost for words.” “Baby, your face alone is enough to make a man speechless and I am not an exception.” “Hmm, you better don’t let Teresa hear you say that,” the girl in the driver’s seat said, eying her. “You won’t tell her or would you, smoochie pie?” she raised an eyebrow. The girl rolled her eyes but ‘Oliver’ saw her smile and knew she had her. “Alright ladies, let’s go to school,” she said and opened the door for the one she was conversing with before and did a dramatic bow when she climbed out. “After you my angel.” “Don’t say that.” “Don’t say what?” she asked, pining her against the now closed door and stood really close to her, letting her breath fan her face, “your eyes are looking very beautiful this morning. Did anyone tell you that?” The girl chuckled softly and slowly bit her lower lip before running her really manicured fingers on ‘Oliver’s’ jacket, “no, but why don’t you tell me more.” “I don’t even need to tell you, you know what you are doing and you know that you have me wrapped around your finger.” “Do I?” she asked. “Mm mm,” ‘Oliver’ nodded, leaning over to place a soft kiss on her neck and she shuddered visibly making her chuckle softly before looking up in her blue eyes, “you are bringing me to my knees baby,” she whispered in her ear and heard a soft moan escape her lips. Slowing looking up from behind her, she saw a baby pink beetle driving into the school compound and took three steps back from the girl, shocking her at the sudden lost of her warmth. She winked at her and took her gaze back to the beetle, watching it park before turning to her own car to get her backpack. Shutting the car, she walked with long strides to the beetle and opened the door for a platinum blonde hair girl with beautiful green eyes. “Hey baby,” she said in her sexy husky voice and leaned to kiss her beside the lips. “Looking gorgeous as always.” The girl smiled and grabbed her back from the passenger’s seat before climbing out of the car. She was dressed in a short black skirt and pink turtleneck. She glanced at the other girls in the convertible before turning to the boy in front of her and wrapping her hands on his neck. She slowly licked her lips before saying, “I missed you during the weekend,” she said, her ponytail bouncing softly with her movement. “Not as much as I missed you,” ‘Oliver’ replied, placing her hand on her slim waist and slowly peeking at the other girl she was with earlier and winking, making the girl giggle. “Let’s go inside,” Teresa said, locking her car and linking her hands with him as they both walked down the parking lot into the school with the other girls staring at them.“Nathania, is that you?” an elderly woman called from the kitchen as the front door opened. “Yes, granny it’s me,” ‘Oliver’ answered, shutting the door after her and hanging the car key on the wall. “It’s good you are back dear, I am almost done with dinner,” the woman said. “Okay granny, let me quickly rush and take a shower,” she said and ran past the kitchen door so that her granny won’t see her and the way she was dressed. Getting up to her room, she flung her backpack on the bed and took of her wig and the bobby pin, letting her chestnut brown hair to cascade down her shoulders. She flew her hair around, stretching out the strands before dropping the wig on her bed and walking over to her dressing mirror to drop the pin. She opened the drawer and got out a facial wipe which she used to clean off her makeup and then stare at her oval girlie face in the mirror. She heaved a sigh and took off her jacket and her turtleneck, dumping everything on the floor and then she unwrapped t
The next two days, Nathania came to school to see that Power bike always in her spot. At first, she had thought she would see the owner during one of the classes or even at recess but none of that had happened and it wasn’t helping if the bike was gone as soon as school was over. Someone was coming with it obviously but she just doesn’t know who. Everyone was talking about a ghost student that drives the bike during recess and while they were all excited about the idea, she was annoyed. Not only was the person taking her favorite spot, the person was playing hide and seek with her. Warm arms wrapping around her neck and a kiss on her cheek woke her up from her thought and she looked up to see Teresa smiling down at her with her platinum hair flying down her shoulder. “Hey handsome,” she cooed, “thinking about me?” She smiled, giving her her killer smile. “Always baby girl, always.” Teresa chuckled and walked around, taking the seat opposite her. She leaned over and grabbed the burg
“Oh,” Nathania squeaked and quickly cleared her throat before saying in her deep voice, “didn’t see you there.” “Of course you didn’t,” the boy answered. He stared at the boy in his room with furrowed brows, he could swear that he had heard him speak with a lighter voice and all of a second, his voice was deep. He stood by the bathroom door, watching him, waiting to hear what he has to say as the reason he was in his room. “Um,” Nathania cleared her throat once more and pointed at the bedroom door. “The door was opened and um…I normally stay here whenever I visit Teri. With the door open and the music playing, I thought she was here, you know, with her knowing that I’m coming and all that.” “Mm,” the boy answered and finally step into the bedroom with another towel in his hand which he used to dry his hair. “Well, she is not here, shouldn’t you be leaving?” “Huh?” Nathania asked, she had been lost staring at his really smooth and strong back and when he turned to her then, her ey
The next day, Nathania went to school a little earlier than usual in order to claim her spot and show Xavier but as she was pulling into the school, she saw the power bike in her spot but this time, someone was sitting on it. She couldn’t believe that despite coming earlier than usual, he was there before her. How come, doesn’t he sleep at home? She has a reason for coming earlier because it takes her forty-five minutes to drive from the town her grandmother live in to the school but Teresa lives close up, only fifteen minutes’ drive so why does he come so early? She pulled over in the slot next to him and glared at him from the window. Xavier took off his helmet and when he saw the glare from the boy, he only scoffed, got down from his bike and grabbed his backpack. Without another glance to the boy in the truck, he strode into school. What is his deal anywhere? Nathania found herself asking as she watched the boy matching into the school. He always arrives early to school only to
Nathania was too shock to speak when she heard that and when she finally found her voice, she shrieked, “what? Why on earth would you think that dude?” Xavier stared at her, “like you know, I have been in this school since Tuesday and I have seen and heard a lot. I have seen you flirting with other girls and today, I couldn’t help but overhear your discussion with her in class. You are really ‘keeping’ yourself for marriage, right?” he made emphasis on the keeping. “Of course, I am a guy who loves things being perfect,” she said. “Hmm,” Xavier said, his eyes not leaving her gray ones. “Well, it better be as you say because, Teresa is a very dear cousin of mine. We may not hang out often but that doesn’t mean that if you hurt her, I am going to let you off. I hope your fighting skills are as good as your flirting ones.” “Dude, calm down, okay? It hasn’t gotten to do that yet. I swear to you that I am really faithful to Teri, trust me. What you claim to have seen are no
Xavier parked in the garage and took off his helmet, one quick look up at the window right closest to the garage, he could tell that Teresa was not in the room. She always has the habit of leaving the lamp on in her room whenever she sleeps. Turns out she was still scared of the dark like she was when they were little. He got down from the bike, wondering if she was still at the so-called party they talked about. As he thought of her boyfriend Oliver, he groaned. He doesn’t know why but he really finds the boy mysterious or that he has something up his sleeves, something he could feel would hurt Teresa later in the future. He fetched his phone from his pocket and glanced at the time, it was already one in the morning and he saw sure that his uncle and his wife were already asleep. They would be traveling in the morning after all. He stood beside his bike, deliberating on a decision as he stared at his phone and at the end, he gave up, placed his helmet on the bike and left with his gu
Xavier watched the boy in front of him, his anger was bobbling inside him and it was taking all the strength in him not to thrash the whole house. He stared at him angrily, trying to calm himself. “You imbecile, is this how you are supposed to protect her, huh?” he thundered, his hand curled in a tight fist as he held it few inches from his face.Oliver shut his eyes, refusing to look at him and then he whispered, “I’m sorry.” His voice was soft, weak like he too needed protection and Xavier was shocked silly by how weak he appeared and most importantly by how he was affected by his weakness. “I swear to God that I didn’t know this would happen. Everyone is from school and I didn’t think anyone would try to hurt her.” His voice was too soft for a man and Xavier instantly remembered that day in his room when he had walked out of the bathroom to see someone in his bedroom and he heard that soft voice purring ‘Mamma mia, who are you?’He put down his fist and released his hold on Oliver’
Over the next few days, Nathania avoided Xavier as much as she could and also secretly stared at him when he wasn’t looking. The boy was always on his own. He was beginning to show up in class more often than not but sometimes, she always bumps into him sleeping his day away in the library. The school tests were coming up and she found herself contemplating whether or not to offer to tutor him. With the way he always behaves, she doubts if he would even be getting a D minus. Eventually, she cornered him one day in the library. She had seen him going inside and had followed and when she saw him going for a book, she stopped, thinking that maybe he had finally decided to study, after all, they have a big test tomorrow. But to her surprise, he sat down, opened the book, and then place his head on the desk and start sleeping.“What in the world?” she whispered, she waited, thinking that maybe he just wanted to rest or just something but then the seconds started counting to minutes and be
Xavier’s POV Xavier had been shocked hearing that Oliver flirted with other boys, but just before he could wrap his mind around it, Oliver had gone denying it and claiming not to be a gay. For some reason, that didn’t sit well with Xavier and he wanted to figure Oliver out once and for all. However, when he took a step forward, Oliver took one back, surprising him. He took another and Oliver repeated his and for some reason, it just messed with Xavier’s mind, giving him the upper hand and the feeling that he was cornering the girl crushing on him or this time, the boy. As he held Oliver to the wall, he remembered something Oliver owed him, a bet, and as he reminded him of it, he spoke the very thing that came to his mind. “Kiss me.” The words had left before Xavier could take them back but he held on, he had to shoulder this embarrassment once and for all. The fact that Oliver didn’t punch or push him away made Xavier wonder if perhaps Oliver had b
Xavier’s POV “What did you do in the kitchen?” Xavier asked, watching Oliver and taking note of every facial expression and reaction he was giving off. “Well,” Oliver shifted from one foot to the other. “It was obvious that you didn’t like me touching you. I mean, I should have taken the hint with how you behaved when I suddenly grabbed your hand back at the beach, I shouldn’t have repeated it. I am deeply sorry and to show my goodwill, see, I made everything you requested.” He pointed at the tray of food in the bed. Xavier didn’t care about that. He was more concerned at the impression he had given Oliver by running out of the kitchen. Hell, he wished he could tell him that he didn’t run out because he loathed his touch but rather because watching him cook had given him a boner he couldn’t calm down. Xavier cleared his throat and looked around, not able to look at Oliver for the time being as he was reminded what he had done in the bathroom and wit
Nathania’s POV Nathania was clearly shocked. What just happened? She wondered. Xavier clearly looked like he was in pain and she only just wanted to offer her support, she didn’t know he loathed her touch so much that he would even run out of the kitchen. Is she that bad? But he doesn’t seem to hate Nana’s touch or her presence, so why was it so different when she is Oliver? Does it matter if she appears different, after all, she is still the same person inside, right? She wanted to run after him, to apologize if she had crossed her boundary but she recalled what Teresa said, that the best thing to do when Xavier wants to be alone was to leave him alone. In as much as the conversation wasn’t flowing and the vibe wasn’t there either, Xavier had actually intended to stay in the kitchen with her, so obviously he left because she just couldn’t let him be. She bit her lip, wanting to curse herself for being too troublesome, however, try as she may, she just couldn’t
Nathania’s POV As they got to the cabin, everywhere was quiet and a post-it note was on the refrigerator. Xavier went up to it and cursed seeing the content of the note. “Fuck,” he cursed out loud and Nathania rushed to him. She slowly whistled seeing what it said and turned to grin at him. “I guess we are all alone then,” She giggled. The note was obviously from one of the servants and it said that dinner won’t be prepared by them as Teresa had given them a day off, claiming that they would sort themselves out that night. “And it’s worse because I am starving.” Xavier cursed once more. His handsome face twisted in his annoyance as he yanked the fridge door open and took out a bottle of orange juice. He uncorked it and drank directly from it. And seeing Nathania staring at him, he asked, “What?” Nathania smiled. “You don’t have to be so angry.” “Are you deaf or just playing dumb? I just said I’m starving and who knows when T
Nathania’s POV Nathania didn’t know the best way to express her joy. She wanted to scream, jump, dance and swirl around, or maybe it was just the alcohol intake from the whole day finally reacting. She just couldn’t name it but she reached out and grabbed Xavier’s hand, her eyes twinkling as she asked in all excitement. “When did you return?” Xavier’s POV Seeing the way Oliver looked at him had shocked Xavier silly but when Oliver took his hand, feeling his soft palm, he couldn’t explain the current that passed through his hand to his heart. He snatched his hand from Oliver and looked at his drink immediately, his heart beating so loudly in his chest that he felt like he was going to suffocate. He gulped and took a huge gulp of his drink, still very unable to look at Oliver. Jesus, what the fuck is wrong with me? How am I reacting like this? “I’m sorry, I’m so sorry.” Oliver said and let out an awkward laugh. “I guess I got carried away.
Xavier’s POVXavier rode into the property and as he turned off the engine and took of his helmet, he heard the laughter. He frowned, the laughter was a little distance from the cabin and he knew instantly that the laughter wasn’t in the house. He got down from his bike and walked towards the beach, the only place he suspects the laughter to be coming from and sure enough, he could see the people having fun in the water. He found himself instantly wondering if Oliver was having a swim and how he would look with drenched body. He found himself drooling and had to snap out of it.They were plenty girls in the water, some he knew and some he has never seen in his life before, why can’t he drool over them and here he was drooling about a boy in his mind. He bit his life, his new discovery about his taste is not sitting well with him and he knew he had to do something about it. Approaching the beach, he noticed that he couldn’t find the brown messy hair he was searching for in the water an
Xavier’s POVXavier stared at the boy, his heart thumping loud in his chest and he cleared his throat, glancing away from him to hide the emotion in his eyes. “What rubbish are you spouting?” he asked coldly, “if I hate you then do you think I would let you date my only sister? Yes she is my cousin and we are both only child’s, do you think I will let you be with the only sibling I have?” he raised an eyebrow.Oliver bit his lips and nodded, “I understand that but from my own understanding, most people are friends with the partner of their siblings. I mean, I am friends with my brother’s partners. I talk to them when I see them and I laugh with them at their jokes. I always even go out with them and spend some time with them, it’s all fun. But you have been ignoring me since you knew me. After our bet, you almost loosened up around me and before I knew it, you were uptight again. What did I do? Am I annoying you or something?”That was a long speech that Xavier didn’t know how to comp
Nathania’s POV “Where on earth were you two?” Teresa bellowed as soon as she and Xavier stepped into the house.“I went out, he followed,” she heard Xavier say and her eyes went to him sharply but he didn’t even gift her a glance as he went up the stairs, ignoring Teresa and the rest of their classmate.Teresa didn’t seem fazed about that and just turned her anger to Nathania, like she was expecting Xavier to act just like that. “Couldn’t you at least tell me you were going out? Do you have any idea how worried I was and none of you even left with your phone.”“I’m sorry, babe,” Nathania smiled and went up to her, putting her arms around her and wrapping her in her arms before placing a kiss on her forehead, “it won’t happen again.”“It better,” Teresa said. And she chuckled above her head, kissing her softly on the head and closing her eyes, thinking about when Xavier was just that close to her and shivering softly, remembering the feeling of his hot breath on her neck.Xavier’s POV
Nathania’s POVNathania could feel her heart beating loud in her chest as she thought of a thousand and one reason to escape from the person pinning her against the wall until she perceived the familiar cologne. “I will deal with you later about trailing me but now, you need to hush,” Xavier’s voice, ever so smooth flooded into her ears like a silent wave and just then, she heard the murmurs of two men, walking past by quickly and wondering where they have gone. When the coast was clear, Xavier still held her like he did earlier and she tried not to breathe too much or nosily and alert his attention. He smelled so good and all she wanted was just to put her head on his neck and inhale deeply while slowly reaching up to feel his lips. She had her eyes closed, imagining how mesmerizing that would be if she could do it.If she was in her true form, perhaps she would have taken the risk, but at this moment, and donned as Oliver, she would never try it. Not for her sake, but for the sake o
