Eyes shut tight Mikkel awaited the expected attack with each passing heartbeat. Within the span of those few seconds, he couldn't think of any reason Hades' grey wolf would be reprimanded for the oncoming attack.

The adrenaline in his veins triggers his defense mechanism to kick in. He instinctually closes his eyes and further crunches them as if crunching them would create a protective shield around them if he crunched them tight enough. His heartbeat thumped against his ears, and the adrenaline coursing through his veins allowed him to be hypersensitively aware of every sensory feeling that he was exposed to.

But when the awaited force did not reach him as he anticipated, he opened his dark onyx eyes with apprehension.

Instead of the angry form of Hades' wolf, stood before him was a human figure cloaked in black and white.

His temples thumped with thundering tension as he scrunched his brows with furrowed concentration. Drops of perspiration rode down his light tan face attempting to cool out the tense muscles that were already evoking in him the beginning of a migraine. It's not every day that you get a twelve-year-old having severe migraines, but alas, it's not every day you get a twelve-year-old standing in the middle of the Alpha's personal training quarters with three figures of authority demanding of a twelve-year-old what is out of his control. The atmosphere was tense as his temples that a slick butter knife would be able to slice through it. He felt the heating gazes of the three adults as they watched his every twitch, frown, and intake of breath as if the child was purposely withholding it to get a rise off them. He was still a child after all. He was bound to rebel. The young boy's eyes were scrunched with strained concentration, head bent down towards the cold stone floor when he felt someo

Climbing up the grass-clad cliff, the young boy plopped down on the wildly strewn carpet of grass below the soothing shade of the ancient banyan tree. The sun was well above his head, indicating the passage of time.Any minute the field below will be occupied by the buzzing activities of the young werewolves that push against the speed of the wind to beat the other. As predicted, the boy felt the prickling sensations in the hairs at the back of his neck due to the thundering force of the approaching pack made of the four-foot beasts. The rush of adrenaline that was evoked within him despite not being part of the wind-crushing group never did seize to make Mikkel Solar be one with nature. The wind that blew past his face tangled his long dark hair to a rhythmic dance as he breathed in the fresh air of a new day.The feeling made him feel like he was thriving and disheartened at the same time. "We really need a break." Mikkel looked over his shoulder at the lazy being sat on his black leather couch bundled up in equally dark fluffy blankets. Her dark pair of specks stood firmly on her nose framing her dark brick-red, almost black eyes that were concentrated on the screen before them. Her dark ebony hair had a polish of blond at the bottom sprouting through the gap below her cuddled-up form. Meghaal indeed was the definition of a koala. Both were lazy and on a mission to seek comfort. "Betch, you say that, yet you're the one whose eyes are still glued to Damon's ass" Mikkel complained while heading over to the kitchen counter to pour himself a glass of warm water. The weather was getting chilly again, indicating Boreas' presence and the upcoming winter. "Blame me. As if you aren't after his ass. At least, I only prefer one Salvatore" Meghaal muttered into her blankets. "What are we having for dinner?" Mikkel questioned as he felt his stomach rumble with oncoming hunger

Bright blinding lanterns blinked with excitement, lighting up their path to the Agora that was transformed into a makeshift stage. Shades of majestic blue veils hung down from the tall trees, draping on branches, intertwined with a contrasting shade with sequins and gems that reflected light off the festive lanterns. The Hendersons had clearly spent a fortune on their eldest child's coronation. The blue theme of the event signified to the oncoming guests the pride the members of the Blue Crescent Pack took in their patriotic shade of blue."Don't you think this is a bit dramatic?"Mikkel looked over at his best friend, who looked slightly excited. The two of them were in fact excited to be out there that night. Mikkel rarely stepped out of the house unless it was for the monthly pack runs or to accompany Marileona to the groceries. Meghaal never attended any social events, being busy with university and her part-time job and her personal time for studying had her schedule fully packed

The celebratory atmosphere that centered around Hades as he grinned away at the crowd couldn't help but make Mikkel feel a bit annoyed. The handsome man looked so carefree and happy, a look he had often worn the past couple of years, as the young boy observed him from a distance. Mikkel did find the man attractive, who wouldn't? Everyone loved him, except Meghaal of course. He found himself being highly attracted to him, but at the same time deep down he subtly resented him.*Flashback*The young boy was seated on his favorite well-polished chair as he gazed at the long cold microwaved mac and cheese in front of him. The last twenty-seven days had been a blur. Loneliness grasping at his heart he continued staring at his cold food, appetite far abandoned. His parents being the only interactive company he had, had gotten him used to making it a point to catch them for at least ten minutes before they headed off to pack lands for work. However, he knew that each March would be different.

If onlookers were to look upon the crowd that stood swarmed around Hades Henderson, they would have thought the image before them resembled a blue-hued painting of bees surrounding their queen. Everyone's attention was directed at the Alpha. The sight looked magnificent, the engraved dark wooden throne contrasted against the blue-themed stage. The details engraved onto the stone spoke of the many stories that had been rooted from each Alpha that sat on the throne for the last twenty decades. However, as mystical and sentimentally valuable as the throne sounded, it was there for another very important purpose. To bring 'it' out.Coronations aren't just a time to celebrate an Alpha's ascendance to power. It's also a ceremony that puts an Alpha's self control to test. When sitting on that innocent and extravagant-looking throne, the Alpha seated would be inflicted with a force that would gradually loosen his control over his wolf, making the beast the dominant party at hand.Hades Hender

The stone grey form of Hades Henderson's wolf jumps off the makeshift stage and onto the long narrow table closest to him.
