[ Mavis's POV ]

I could see the surprise in her face, when I told her I was the one who made her sleep last night.

How couldn't she tell I was the one who stayed throughout last night taking care of her, when we were the only ones in this house.

"So you own the hand I was holding last night?" She asked, looking at me in dismay

"Yes. Whose hand would it have been, if not for mine. I am the only one in this house with you" I said.

"Why did you do it?" She asked, and I sighed, tucking my hands in the white pajamas I was wearing.

"I also have the problem of not being able to sleep in a new environment, and that's why I helped you drift to sleep"

"Thank you"

"Stop thanking me, and go to sleep, I will leave once you sleep off" I said.

Denise looked at me for a while, before laying on the bed, with her hands under her head.
