Mavis gets worried

[ Mavis's POV ]

The conversation between me and Denise was flowing smoothly, and I was kind of enjoying her company, but everything turned upside down when she mentioned Ava's name.

I told her to stop talking about Ava, but she didn't listen, she was just badmouthing the only woman I have loved in my entire life.

She didn't cheat on me, neither did she leave me for another man. It was death that took her away from me.

"She is really a bad lady for inflicting pain on the man that loved her so much. She is dead, right, well I hope she doesn't rest in peace"

Anger from nowhere invoked inside of me, and I forcefully pinned Denise to the wall.

"Who gave you the right to speak ill of my wife in such a manner!!!" I yelled at her with so much anger in my eyes.

I was so mad at Denise for saying such a thing. How dare her say Ava's soul shouldn't rest in peace when she has always been a good wife to me.
