Chapter 2

The celebration party began at 7 pm. The guests began to come and were surprised to see how beautifully the Price Mansions was decorated. All the members of Price family were present there to welcome the guests wearing customized expensive clothes except Nicholas. The guests were eager to meet the person for whose welcome this celebration party was organised.

And soon Nicholas appeared wearing a black suit looking breathtakingly hansome. He was very tall and with a chiseled face and mascular body, he attracted the attention of all the girls and women present there.

George and Shelley were pleased to see the reaction of people after meeting their younger son because since childhood he had a problem of getting along with other peoples. So he always avoided meeting them and whenever they hosted events at their house in the past, he always chose to stay in his room until the party ended. So most of the people present there had never seen him before.

With his appearance and academic qualifications, the people present there viewed him as the most eligible bachelor in the city. And this was another purpose Of George Price to host this event so that he could find a suitable girl for his son from a rich and reputed family who help them to expand and strengthen their business.

Many businessmen introduced their daughters to Nicholas, however he was not interested in any one of them.

"Hello, Mr.Price. I am the chairman of Bell Corporations. And this is my daughter Olivia.". Albert Bell introduced his daughter to Nicholas as soon as he noticed Nicholas standing alone.

"Hello, Mr. Bell. Hello Ms. Olivia." It's nice to meet both of you." Nicholas greeted them politely.

"I never expected the second son of George to be so intimidating and promising." Albert Bell said to Nicholas as he winked at his daughter who began to flaunt her moves to attract Nicholas immediately after receiving her father's signal.

"Hey, Nicholas. Let's have a drink together." Olivia said to Nicholas as she held his hand and tried to drag him towards the bar counter.

Nicholas pulled his hand back and refused softly, " I already had enough while tossing to the guests. And my alcohol tolerance is very low. So I am sorry that I can't accompany you for the drink.

And without waiting for their reply, he moved away from there and stood beside his elder brother who was having talks with business deligates.

He treated everyone politely but soon felt bored of all this, so he asked his father to end the party as soon as possible. If this event was not for celebrating his arrival, he might have chosen to stay in his room like before.

George was a little displeased seeing that his son has not learnt to mingle with other peoples even after staying away for 5 years. As a businessman, he knew very well how important it was to make contacts with more and more peoples.

The party ended before the scheduled time and all the people left one by one and many of them expressed their intension to make Nicholas their son-in-law before leaving.

After the party ended, both Jenny and Amyra walked towards Nicholas. Amyra teased Nicholas as she asked playfully," So did you like someone at the party, Nick?"

"First of all, you tell me whether the party was for my welcome or for introducing the rich girls to me?" Nicholas asked Amyra feeling a little frustrated recalling how those girls tried to cling on him.

Both Jenny and Amyra laughed seeing the frustrated look on his face and Jenny said, " Well, the party was hosted to serve the both purposes."

Nicholas pretended to be angry and walked away. He knew that his whole family was involved in this 'trap' so it was useless to talk to anyone. He decided to go to his room because he began to feel sleepy.

However, just when he reached near the staircase, his father said loudly," Come here, Nicholas."

Nicholas knew what his father had to say and he was not in the mood to argue with him but he couldn't ignore him, so he walked towards him unwillingly where his brother,mother and grandmother stood besides his father.

As soon as stood in front of George, he began to speak, "Now you have completed your studies and returned home, you need to understand that it's the right time to start family and career. You can join Price Corporation whenever you feel you are ready to work. Because your academic records are brilliant, so there is no doubt that you will be a capable and successful entrepreneur.

And as far as your private life is concerned, you know very well that our family doesn't approve the idea of dating many girls and finally choosing one after ditching a lot. Your brother's marriage was also arranged by me and you can see that he is living a very happy life with his wife. So it's better if you also get married with the girl I chose for you."

This came as a surprise for not just Nicholas but everyone in the family. By now, everyone has presumed that Nicholas will be asked to choose a girl amongst who came in the party tonight.

But they didn't expect to George take that decision himself on the behalf of Nicholas. Now they racked their brains to guess who was the girl that George had chosen for Nicholas and looked at him with desperation evident on their face.

"According to my opinion, Olivia Bell will be perfect for you." George announced the name of the girl while all the family member were busy in making speculations in their minds.

And they were more surprised this time, because Olivia had came to their house many times and nobody had a good impression of her except Amyra who was a close friend to Olivia.

Needless to say, she was the one who has suggested this name to George and he also agreed because Olivia was the sole heir of Bell Corporations, which ranked 2nd in the city after Price Corporations.

"But I don't like that girl, dad. And as you have said, I also don't have the idea of changing girls one after another. It's not in our blood. So I assure you that if I am involved with a girl, I will definitely marry her. But that girl can't be Olivia at any cost." Nicholas said to his father and walked away from there between the astonished gazes of his family members.
