Elora grabbed Javier’s arm and led him to walk down 16 Rees Street, to one of their favorite places, Vudu café. A cafe which is only a few meters from Lake Wakatipu. Elora pushed open the cafe’s glass door and the smell of cake and omelette greeted her. It felt like life was back to normal for a while.

Vudu café is always busy at lunchtime, so Elora and Javier have to queue to order food. While waiting for their turn, they were busy choosing various desserts that were lined up neatly behind the glass display case next to the cashier. Today the cafe provides lemon cake with passion fruit, apple pie, cheesecake, carrot cake, chocolate muffins, and many more choices that always make Elora confuse.

After ordering food, an egg benedict and rainbow burger, two cups of coffee, and a plateful of dessert, Elora and Javier found a seat. They sat outside. Because the weather was sunny today, and the inside of the cafe was almost full.

Exaggerating. That word ran back and forth in Elora’s mind every time she saw the scene before her.How not. In order to get the perfect party look, Kate called one of the most wanted designers in the South Island to come to Gibbston, while bringing some samples of the latest model dresses. The designer came with his assistants, bringing boxes of colorful dresses that Elora had only seen through the glass walls of prestigious boutiques in Queenstown. Not that Elora couldn’t afford one of these expensive dresses, but Elora had never had to attend an event that asked her to wear a silk dress with piled skirts and diamond-studded accessories.“Shouldn’t we just buy a dress at random boutiques in Queenstown?” whispered Elora into Kate’s ear, as the designer and his assistants were busy arranging the dresses on display. Yes, they brought some mannequins to show off the shape of the dress as a whole and neatly.

A drizzle greeted Elora and Zed as Zed’s car, a black SUV, drove through downtown Queenstown. Zed steered his car down Camp Street, a street lined with boutiques, shopping malls, and jewelry shops.“You come here often?” Zed asked as the car pulled into the parking area at the end of the street.“Sometimes. If I need new clothes to meet new clients.”“Did you buy new clothes when you were going to meet Caspian and me?”There was a faint joke in Zed’s question, which made Elora uneasy. Suddenly, a warm feeling spread across Elora’s cheeks. She let out a soft laugh.“Em… yes—but I’m not trying too hard to look good, either. I’m afraid that if I try too hard, the result will be too much.”“You don’t have to try too hard. Because you are already beautiful even in simple clothes.”Zed said that after the car was parked neatly. He st

Caspian has been known as an Alpha who is not very friendly to other packs. Many say he is arrogant because he comes from a rich family. Not infrequently, rumors grew out of control. It was the rumors that formed Caspian’s image in the eyes of the werewolves, who didn’t know him well.It was seen from the way they looked at and talked to Caspian during the meeting. And the trouble Caspian has caused in the past two years has made the other Alphas dislike him more.“We have been discussing border guarding for a long time, but have we actually encountered any serious problems? Except for the trouble someone has caused recently.”Gerald, an Alpha from the tip of the South Island, mentions Caspian. An old-fashioned-minded man, who still likes to wear a sleeveless fur coat everywhere. Caspian knew him since he was a teenager. His parents didn’t get along with Gerald either. The other meeting participants nodded in agreement at Ger

Hearing the word dance party always conjures up images of parties in movies about princesses and princes. The majestic hall was full of people in all kinds of classy dresses and suits. Large candles are set in three-pronged candle holders, their flames dancing in gold, yellow, and orange. An orchestra group in the corner of the room, playing classical music that hits, sometimes serene, accompanying couples who twirl and hug each other on the dance floor. The picture is real. Like pouring thoughts into a form that can be seen with the naked eye, Elora felt an atmosphere like in a fairy tale.Zed picked her up at seven o’clock. He knocked on Elora’s door, and his eyes widened in amazement at Elora’s appearance tonight.“All the men would be jealous of me,” he said with a smile.Elora dismissed the compliment with a blush, then let out a dry laugh. “I think this is too much.” She lowered her head to look again at the

Elora’s legs wrapped tightly around Caspian’s slender and sturdy waist, making her dress part and revealing the smooth skin on Elora’s thighs. Caspian’s arms wrapped around Elora’s hips, and held her by her butt, keeping Elora from falling. Elora drifted her face away as she opened her eyelids. Her gaze met Caspian’s. His pair of blue eyes glowed in shock, confusion, and… pleasure.“You’re drunk, El,” whispered Caspian. It wasn’t a warning, just a notification, and Caspian didn’t seem to mind it.“Allow no woman to touch you. You’re mine,” said Elora. They don’t care about the reactions of the people around them. Elora couldn’t think of anything other than Caspian, and the feelings she had worked so hard to suppress but overcame her tonight. All Elora wanted now, here, was Caspian. Caspian grinned, a haughty, triumphant smile, and Elora liked it.“Let&rsq

The morning came too soon. Elora grumbled as a glimmer of golden light fell over her closed eyes. Elora groaned and rolled to the side, then she opened her eyes lazily. Caspian fell asleep beside her, softly snoring as his chest rose and fell.Elora blinked slowly, remembering the remnants of last night’s events while enjoying the sight in front of her. Caspian is so handsome, and he is very good in bed. Elora’s whole body shivered with pleasure as the feeling returned, traces of Caspian’s touch on her skin. The soft taste of Caspian’s lips on hers. This was definitely not the first time for Caspian… and it wouldn’t be Elora’s first. But that’s okay. They live here, at this time, as a mate. Elora washed herself, got dressed, and came out of the room, hoping Zed was waiting for her in the hallway as usual. But no one there. Elora went downstairs and turned into the dining room. She heard voices and the clinking of dishes from inside. Elora opened the door and found the room quite crowded. The members of the pack hadn’t left for work yet, and they all stopped what they were doing when they saw Elora.Elora stood awkwardly in the doorway. There was no one she knew here. Elora gulped and walked backward while closing the door. She would eat when everyone else had left, as usual. Elora turned around and bumped into someone behind her.“Ow!” Elora rubbed her throbbing nose. Zed caught each of Elora’s arms, keeping Elora from falling backward.“Where are you going?” Zed asked.“Back to my room,” answered Elora. Ten years later….Caspian looked at himself in the long mirror in his room. Today is a very important day in his life. The day he had been waiting for for the last ten years.Caspian deliberately opened the bedroom door, because he was waiting for someone to arrive. As Caspian was adjusting the position of the suit attached to his body, the bedroom door snapped open and someone ran in, screaming.“Uncle!!”“I told you, call him Alpha!”A loud bang was heard, and the sound of a child screaming in pain followed. Caspian frowned, sharing the pain in the boy’s head. “It’s okay, Kate. He’s my nephew, anyway.”“If I let him, he’ll go easy on you, Cas!”“Mommy sucks!” Cooper shouted, then he ran away, leaving Caspian and Kate.Caspian smiled widely and hugged Kate. Kate hugged him back. She gave Caspian a few pats on the back before they let go.

“Elora!”Caspian shouted for her, but Elora kept running. They thrashed the snow under their feet, breaking through dry branches and braving the skin-biting air. Elora was in werewolf form, and she ran faster than Caspian.Caspian continued to chase after her, but all he could see was Elora’s back getting further and further away. Until they came to a dark and almost frozen riverbank. Elora suddenly stopped, then turned around. “Stop! Stay away from me!” she screamed. Caspian stopped a few yards from Elora. His lungs ached, and the wound throbbed like a second heart.“Elora,” Caspian spoke Elora’s name carefully, as if her name was sacred and contained magic. That one word can describe how longed and desperate Caspian is. He walked over, turning himself into a human again. Instantly, a chill shot through Caspian, worsening his condition and making his wound feel like it was being stabbed by a thousand tiny needles.

She shrugged and glanced at the nightstand beside Caspian’s bed. “I still can’t find her,” Brittany muttered. “It was as if she had disappeared from this world.”“She’s still alive. I can feel it.”“How about you stop looking for her? “Hëna.”Arapeta’s voice was at the threshold of Elora’s hearing. She felt dead to the world, but she was still awake. Elora could see everything around her, but at the same time, she could not feel her body. Elora seemed to float in another dimension, which looked the same as the world she knew.“No,” someone denied. Zed’s breath was close to Elora’s ear, whispering a doubtful refusal. “Hëna wouldn’t want to meet lowly werewolves like you! She is too sacred to be seen by the ignorant eye!”“Look who’s talking,” said Javier. “You mean the moon goddess doesn’t want to see you?”The sound of bullets cut through the night, and a moan of pain escaped Javier’s lips. “Bastard.” Zed gritted his teeth as he realized his shot had only hit the edge of Javier’s arm.Zed pulled the trigger again, but the gun fell from his hand,

However, there was only a cold reaction to Caspian’s question. “Didn’t you hear my explanation? Your best friend sells drugs!! And you’re angry because I killed him?? You should thank me!! “Are you sure?” Cooper asked. He still didn’t believe in Zed’s theory. The pack of The Moon Protectors was long extinct, and there is not enough evidence that they inherited Hëna’s powers. But Zed had done a lot of research, relating events, until he concluded; there was still one werewolf from that pack. And she is a woman.“Damn sure,” Zed replied. They were sitting on the balcony of the Sacred Storm restaurant. It’s a full moon tonight, and because it’s the holiday season, many tourists come here, including single women. Soft prey to satisfy Zed’s passion. Cooper was happy to see Zed in action because he said every woman looked so hilarious when they had fallen for Zed’s seduction. Caspian knew some of them had sympathy for Zed.Caspian drove to the abandoned wine cellar in the west. It used to be the territory of the Sacred Storm, but through tough negotiations with the Alphas at that time, they decided that the area would become a neutral area and a barrier between the territory of one pack from another.Caspian left his car on the side of the road. He made sure no one was around before turning himself into a werewolf. The sky was getting darker as Caspian made his way through the woods. Cold. Dark. A faint sweet and bitter aroma.Elora opened her eyes, but she couldn’t see anything. The intoxicating smell of medicine still lingered in her nostrils. After a while, she realized that someone had covered her eyes with a black cloth.“Judging by the way you’re moving, it looks like you’ve come to your senses.” A familiar voice greeted her. That’s Zed. Elora could feel Zed beside her. His breath brushed against Elora’s cheek.“Let me go,” said Elora.Zed chuckled. “Why are you saying such useless things?
