A drizzle greeted Elora and Zed as Zed’s car, a black SUV, drove through downtown Queenstown. Zed steered his car down Camp Street, a street lined with boutiques, shopping malls, and jewelry shops.
“You come here often?” Zed asked as the car pulled into the parking area at the end of the street.
“Sometimes. If I need new clothes to meet new clients.”
“Did you buy new clothes when you were going to meet Caspian and me?”
There was a faint joke in Zed’s question, which made Elora uneasy. Suddenly, a warm feeling spread across Elora’s cheeks. She let out a soft laugh.
“Em… yes—but I’m not trying too hard to look good, either. I’m afraid that if I try too hard, the result will be too much.”
“You don’t have to try too hard. Because you are already beautiful even in simple clothes.”
Zed said that after the car was parked neatly. He st
Hi! don't forget to leave a comment, and a gem (or two!). I would love to know what you think about this story. Thank you and I love you!
Caspian has been known as an Alpha who is not very friendly to other packs. Many say he is arrogant because he comes from a rich family. Not infrequently, rumors grew out of control. It was the rumors that formed Caspian’s image in the eyes of the werewolves, who didn’t know him well.It was seen from the way they looked at and talked to Caspian during the meeting. And the trouble Caspian has caused in the past two years has made the other Alphas dislike him more.“We have been discussing border guarding for a long time, but have we actually encountered any serious problems? Except for the trouble someone has caused recently.”Gerald, an Alpha from the tip of the South Island, mentions Caspian. An old-fashioned-minded man, who still likes to wear a sleeveless fur coat everywhere. Caspian knew him since he was a teenager. His parents didn’t get along with Gerald either. The other meeting participants nodded in agreement at Ger
Hearing the word dance party always conjures up images of parties in movies about princesses and princes. The majestic hall was full of people in all kinds of classy dresses and suits. Large candles are set in three-pronged candle holders, their flames dancing in gold, yellow, and orange. An orchestra group in the corner of the room, playing classical music that hits, sometimes serene, accompanying couples who twirl and hug each other on the dance floor. The picture is real. Like pouring thoughts into a form that can be seen with the naked eye, Elora felt an atmosphere like in a fairy tale.Zed picked her up at seven o’clock. He knocked on Elora’s door, and his eyes widened in amazement at Elora’s appearance tonight.“All the men would be jealous of me,” he said with a smile.Elora dismissed the compliment with a blush, then let out a dry laugh. “I think this is too much.” She lowered her head to look again at the
Elora’s legs wrapped tightly around Caspian’s slender and sturdy waist, making her dress part and revealing the smooth skin on Elora’s thighs. Caspian’s arms wrapped around Elora’s hips, and held her by her butt, keeping Elora from falling. Elora drifted her face away as she opened her eyelids. Her gaze met Caspian’s. His pair of blue eyes glowed in shock, confusion, and… pleasure.“You’re drunk, El,” whispered Caspian. It wasn’t a warning, just a notification, and Caspian didn’t seem to mind it.“Allow no woman to touch you. You’re mine,” said Elora. They don’t care about the reactions of the people around them. Elora couldn’t think of anything other than Caspian, and the feelings she had worked so hard to suppress but overcame her tonight. All Elora wanted now, here, was Caspian. Caspian grinned, a haughty, triumphant smile, and Elora liked it.“Let&rsq
The morning came too soon. Elora grumbled as a glimmer of golden light fell over her closed eyes. Elora groaned and rolled to the side, then she opened her eyes lazily. Caspian fell asleep beside her, softly snoring as his chest rose and fell.Elora blinked slowly, remembering the remnants of last night’s events while enjoying the sight in front of her. Caspian is so handsome, and he is very good in bed. Elora’s whole body shivered with pleasure as the feeling returned, traces of Caspian’s touch on her skin. The soft taste of Caspian’s lips on hers. This was definitely not the first time for Caspian… and it wouldn’t be Elora’s first. But that’s okay. They live here, at this time, as a mate. Elora would love Caspian with all her heart.Caspian opened his eyes, the blue of his irises fading. Caspian smiled sweetly, wrinkles at the corners of his eyes.“Good morning,” he said hoarsely.&ldqu
Elora washed herself, got dressed, and came out of the room, hoping Zed was waiting for her in the hallway as usual. But no one there. Elora went downstairs and turned into the dining room. She heard voices and the clinking of dishes from inside. Elora opened the door and found the room quite crowded. The members of the pack hadn’t left for work yet, and they all stopped what they were doing when they saw Elora.Elora stood awkwardly in the doorway. There was no one she knew here. Elora gulped and walked backward while closing the door. She would eat when everyone else had left, as usual. Elora turned around and bumped into someone behind her.“Ow!” Elora rubbed her throbbing nose. Zed caught each of Elora’s arms, keeping Elora from falling backward.“Where are you going?” Zed asked.“Back to my room,” answered Elora. Then she remembered something. “Hey, why don’t you take me to practice? Usually
Caspian’s hands were still gripping Elora’s hands tightly, holding them by her side. It was as if Caspian was afraid that Elora could attack him at any moment.“El—what happened? Are you dreaming?” Caspian swallowed hard, his voice cracked.Elora looked around. She was in her room. After spending time reading The Moon Protector’s journal, then walking around the castle and calling Javier, Elora fell asleep. Elora turned slowly towards the window. The moon hangs high in the sky.Elora felt her heart beating fast. The fragments of her dreams were like a flash of light behind her eyes. “I… had a dream?” Elora blinked and looked at Caspian again. “What happened to you?” she asked, confused.Caspian looked down, looking at the wounds on his chest, but he said nothing.“Is it… because of me?” said Elora, quietly.Caspian loosened his hand and freed Elora. They were the pack that Caspian had trouble with. Well, there doesn’t seem to be a pack that he doesn’t have a problem with. Caspian didn’t remember the name of the Alpha who was in front of him now, but he remembered that the leader of this pack didn’t come to the annual meeting of the werewolves some time ago.“What do you mean?” asked Caspian. He clenched his hands at his sides. He was sure tonight the fight would be unavoidable. His interlocutor let out a bitter laugh. “Don’t play the fool with me. Don’t you remember who crushed my Beta’s face?”“Don’t you remember what your Beta told me?” Caspian tried to restrain himself. He did that not because he meant to be patient, but he was thinking about Elora’s safety, who was now standing tightly behind his back. The Alpha glared and gritted his teeth. “What Owen said is the truth! You, who are too busy running y
Elora knew something was wrong when she opened her eyes. The ceiling of the room she was looking at now felt strange. Then when Elora looked around, there were only white curtains blocking her view. Elora woke up, then a jolt of pain in her neck made her stop.Elora raised a hand, about to touch her sore neck, and gasped when she saw the bruises all over her arm. She vaguely remembered last night’s fight. She and Caspian met a group that seemed to have a grudge against Caspian. Elora was able to beat those people up, but after that, she lost consciousness. The curtains in front of her parted and Kate walked in. She jumped when she saw Elora. The tray in her hand nearly fell.“El! You’re awake!” Kate immediately put the tray of food on the nightstand and rushed to hug Elora. “I was so scared when I saw you and Caspian! I thought you guys were dead!”Kate’s eyes welled up with tears as she pulled away. “Are yo
