CHAPTER FOUR: The Meeting Room, Safehaven Pack

"Alpha Randolph of the Flowerfell pack is hereby exempted from the council and suspended from Alpha duties. His Beta is to take over the pack duties until he repents and the exemption is called off." Alpha Logan Reed of the Willowtime pack said.

The Alphas were all present at the council meeting. Theodore called an emergency meeting regarding their misdeeds of Randolph at the last meeting which was held.

They discussed the matter before Randolph was called and they concluded on putting a measure in place to serve as a future warning to others.

"The whole council agreed to let you leave the pack for a while so as not to create enmity among your pack and the others," Theodore said.

He continued," we will inform your pack but they will be told that you have gone on an undercover mission, this will help put your pack at ease. Only the top leaders would be aware."

Alpha Kendrick Perkins of the Lovelace pack said," we are upholding the pack justice as directed by the moon goddess, we are not driving you away from us. We would not be biased, anyone who needs to be sanctioned will surely be sanctioned."

"We do not condone your behavior towards another pack leader and we believe you would have a change of heart so the packs can continue to be united," Alpha Edgar Hoover of the Lifeforce pack said.

Randolph accepted the verdict and exited the council room with his beta and gamma. The Alphas exchanged pleasantries with one another.

Ryan walked up to Theodore and said," tsk, tsk, I wished he had succeeded in injuring you or killing you, I would have been very happy and Amy would have been mine."

"Unfortunately, I heal fast and I am still alive and kicking.  Amy can never be yours, she is my mate. You have got your mate, what would be her reaction when she hears you professing your love to another person's mate?

Anger, sadness, or pain? Will she tear you into pieces, I will be glad to see her do that" Theodore chuckled.

Ryan clenched his fist and the men had a staring competition. Unexpectedly, Ryan snickered which got Theodore confused. He left Theodore laughing and saying, "wait and watch."

Theodore dismissed him as a crazy man. He turned to hear Logan speak," Ryan hasn't forgotten Amy right, you do know he is in impending trouble?"

Theodore sighed and nodded in affirmative. Logan continued, ``Another person to look out for is Randolph, with the way he is, I don't think he can let go soon."

Calhoun cut in, " you are right, I feel he is just being remorseful on the surface."

Shane joined in," if he tries anything, we will cut him down." He made a stance of a fight.

"You like war, don't you? Anyone who sees you for the first time won't know your personality, they will think you are easily trodden upon" Calhoun said

"We don't need war right now, we should be bothered about keeping the packs as one" Kendrick said

Edgar Hoover nodding his head thoughtfully said," Since it is good to keep the pack united, we should prepare for war because aside from being ambitious, Randolph is cruel."

"It is better to be safe than sorry, we can't jeopardize the packs' peace. We need to do the right thing."

Theodore and the other Alphas consented to the idea. They dispersed from the meeting.

 Flowerfell Pack, Arizona

There was a sound of things crashing on the floor, a blue-eyed woman ran in, and she stopped seeing the mess on the floor. She was Taylor, the Luna of the pack.

"What in the goddess name happened?" She walked in gingerly to see her mate fuming. She moved closer to him and tapped him. He turned and she saw that he was alternating between his real self and his wolf.

Taylor, hugging her mate, spoke soothing words to her mate. She was pregnant and she couldn't embrace him properly. He held her close till he calmed down.

She asked him what got him angry and he told her the outcome of the meeting. She consoled him and told him to adhere to the punishment. She admonished him to accept his mistakes and change his ways.

Randolph was annoyed but he put on a smiling face to put her at ease. She smiled at him and leaned into his embrace. He smirked evilly.

Noticing his mate was asleep, he slipped out of the room and called for his beta and gamma. They turned and went for a run in the woods.

After running for a while, they turned to their real self. "Are you following the council verdict, Alpha?" His gamma Arnold Black asked.

Grunting, he replied in the affirmative. "What about the plan, are we canceling it?" Beta Ray Towers asked.

"I have to leave because there will be a check, I will inform you of any new developments. I am not going far, I would stay in the woods and it is easy to pass information across." He replied.

They nodded and went back to the pack. Two days later, Randolph left for the woods after passing his duties to his beta. 

Safehaven Pack

"I went to the flowerfell pack and the Alpha has gone. Taylor and Ray are working hard to put the pack in order. I think there is no danger for now." Calhoun reported.

Theodore looked up from his writing and said to them, "I still feel there is something odd, Randolph can't just stay quiet. We have to tread with caution."

"If you feel that this is suspicious, we should alert the other pack to be on the lookout and we should also think of ways to protect the pack," Calhoun said 

" I will station the pack warriors round the pack house and the boundary. This will allow us to be informed in case of any attack. Be rest assured" Shane said

Theodore consented to the idea and decided to send messengers to various packs. Calhoun and Shane left the house and Theodore went to his study.
