Mindy pov

My cell rang after the horrible time I had digging the damn bullet out and I answered in a tired voice.

"Hello",I hear a sigh.

"It's me Bethany, she speaks soft, I've been recognized by Lorenzo so I can't sneak you in anymore",she mumbles.

"Where are you?",I try to sit up.

"I'm leaving this town Mindy if they get to me I'm dead. I didn't go far enough",she sounds out of breath.

"You pulled it off this long. Why run now?",I almost cuss at her.

"Because Luca and Lorenzo will kill me I fabricated fake videos and emails of their mate selling private information to an enemy. I killed their pup and tore them apart that alone is a death sentence ",her tone says I'm stupid.

"Act like you have amnesia Bethany they are to stupid to tell anyway",she scoffs.

"I was never good at lying Mindy and both grew up with me they both know when I'm lying. Nope I'm out",she cuts the call and I flop back on the bed pissed that my only link to get in the Howl pack is gone. She wanted to run when Luc
