Mindy pov

I managed to get away but my leg hurts like a bitch. I hobble to my hotel room and sink to the floor as I look at my leg.

"That fucker",I seethe as I think of Luca shooting me. He took all my rounds to protect his bitch and brother. I would go back but first I was going to have to dig this bullet out and heal.

Ben pov

I felt Marie snuggled against me as I woke up and fuck if she didn't look beautiful. She was so tiny.

"My love",I kissed her lips before easing away to make us breakfast. As I went into the kitchen a knock had me almost growling. I opened to Lorenzo so I let him in.

"Sorry if I'm bothering you Ben, he looked exhausted, I just...I just....",I motioned to the kitchen.

"Join me while I make breakfast for us",he nodded and sat while I made food.

"Did you sleep?",he nods no at my question so I sigh.

"Lorenzo both made it you need to rest now",he shrugs.

"I'm afraid to sleep, he mumbles, I'm afraid if I do something will happen and I will lose someone I love",I plate
