**Shiloh's POV**

After six more months, finally, it will be our moment.

Dad wanted to give me a princess-like wedding because I'm the only child.

"You only married once, and I want it to be beautiful; you're my only daughter," Dad told me.

"Dad, I'm already our big girl, so instead of throwing money for that kind of wedding, we could save that for the rainy days," I replied, smiling at him.

"What can I say? You grew up independent; you knew the importance of saving up rather than spending," Dad replied.

Dad was right; I didn't have enough growing up; the money that Hansen sent was just enough. He never sent extra money in case of additional expenses, so I learned to work part-time jobs to earn extra money.

"The quality strength of a relationship can't be measured by a lavish wedding, Daddy, I know, and I feel that Heath and I will succeed because we both went through hardships," I said.

"I won't object to you anymor

Shiloh's POVI just arrived from school when I heard a gunshot as we entered the door. I was scared to get inside the house, but what if something happens to my family? I run upstairs but there's no one up there. I came down and saw my mother on the floor. "Mommy!" I cried my heart out when I saw her lifeless body lying on the kitchen floor. Swimming in her blood. There was my dad standing with the young man holding a gun by his side. "You killed my mom! You killed my mom!" I stood up and hit him anywhere my fist landed. The man stared at me and spoke. "I never killed your mom," he said. "I don't even have a gun." He continued staring at me. "And what's that in your hand? Isn't that a gun?" I pointed to the gun in his hand. "Your dad gave it to me. I just came in, and he gave it to me. Believe me," the man replied firmly. "Liar! I saw you shoot my wife. You're a killer." My dad shouted and punched the man in his face. "You killed your wife. He killed your mom, bel

Shiloh's POV Years passed by without noticing it.I'm no longer a thirteen-year-old girl who was always afraid of my father. I grew up. I finished my studies. I also have my own established life in Paris. All my life in Paris, I never saw my father's face.He never tried to visit me.It's hurt, but I kept it all to myself. He called, yes, but never asked how I was doing. He only called to tell me that he sent me an allowance. He never failed to pay all my school fees. He cared for my studies but never cared for me. "Theresa, are you going home with me, or are you staying here?" I ask my nanny. Theresa is my ever-loyal nanny, who remained single because her boyfriend dumped her when she agreed to go with me to Paris. I could see the fear in Theresa's eyes when I mentioned to her that we were going home. "You know very well that your father will be very angry when he knows your plan of going home," Theresa reminds me. "I know that, Theresa, but that was before. I'm not

Heath's POVI've been at the airport for two hours. I waited patiently for the arrival of Miss Shiloh Hansen. I left Arcadia Valley at five o'clock in the afternoon because I needed to be in Brisbane before the plane they boarded landed. I arrived at the airport at two in the morning. In these two hours waiting for the arrival of Miss Hansen, I took a chance to take a nap so I would have the energy for another nine-hour drive later. The moment I heard the coming airplane, I stood up from the seat I was seated in and went to the arrival area. It will only take thirty minutes or less, and all passengers will be coming out.I could recognize her anywhere, even if I saw her in person. The pictures I have in my hand will help. I have different pictures of her. In different shots, she wears different clothes and is in different places. I memorized her face from all different angles. She's beautiful, but sorry, I needed her for her father's debt. She's the payment for it. I could see the

Shiloh's POV Many women claimed that women have stronger intuition than men. I never believed it, though. Today I felt it, but I ignored it. Now I'm in this vehicle with this heartless man, all tied up. If I'm going to scream, no one is going to hear her. And I won't waste my energy on such a stupid thing. What if this man is going to kill her if I make any mistake? I will save her energy. We have been on the road for many hours now. I will wait until we need to refill the gas. For sure the vehicle needs gasoline. He glanced at me from time to time, but I didn't care. I mustn't give him the impression that I am afraid. I am almost twenty-eight now. I will never cry in front of him either and beg him to let me go. I felt that the car had come to a halt; I looked up. It's a gasoline station. This is my chance. I will scream for help. When I saw that he was opening the door. I screamed for help. He closed it again and turned to me. He grabbed me and kissed me hard. "No one is

Heath's POV I'm not a heartless human being; I just don't show emotion. I mastered it for ten years. But I could sense how people feel. And I could tell how she laughed at the mention of her father's name. It's full of bitterness. But why? As far as I know, her father sent her to Paris for a better future. Well, that's what parents should do. After I put down her luggage, I entered my room to get changed. I will take a shower as well. She cannot escape from this house any way he thought. The doors and windows are equipped with alarms. I will get her first before she can ever step out of the house. I grabbed a towel and went to the bathroom to take a shower. I have been outside for long hours. I used to be out but not in the city. I drove nine hours going to Brisbane, plus nine hours back. After I was done showering and changed into my clean clothes, I went downstairs. I try to find something to eat and scan the fridge to see what they can have for dinner. I already packed the f

Shiloh's POV I'm very tired and exhausted. Seems that all my energy was drained. Not from the traveling but from controlling myself from anger. The moment I entered the room, I closed the door and let go of the cry that I was holding downstairs, in front of Mr. Heartless. I covered my mouth with the pillow I saw on the bed so he could not hear my sob. I don't know how long I have been crying. But when I finally calmed down, I opened my suitcase and took a set of clean clothes, my undergarments, and my toiletries. I put down my clothes on the bed and went into the bathroom. I need to clean myself up. Aside from the dust, though the aircon was on when they entered, that seemed to be country roads; he turned off the aircon and opened the windows. I look around to see if there are some people, but there are none. I wanted to clean my sticky face. Sticky from tears and runny nose. I entered the bathroom to take a shower. My reflection in the mirror shocks me. My eyes are red and

I prayed harder today while on my way to the Gold Coast, where the Madrigal mansion is located.I took an air train to Gold Coast. I'm lucky to have a chance to catch that train because the next departure will be in another thirty minutes. It only took ninety minutes to get to the Gold Coast train depot, and then I took a taxi from there to Madrigal mansion. My hands were shaking when I pressed the doorbell. Someone peeped in the security hole and let me in."Theresa!?" The woman hugged me."Dana!" I hugged her back. "I just came to get Miss Shiloh's box in her room. Is Mr. Hansen in?""No, he went for a business meeting out of the country; that's what I heard. Come in," said Dana and guided me in. I look around to see if there are any changes in this mansion. I noticed that there's nothing I could remember."Great! I'll go up and take what I need. I need to
