34. I WILL BURY YOU

EMORY’S POV

I was told that I slept for close to six hours before I finally woke up after suddenly fainting back at the house where we went to investigate the missing wolf. Never in my life have I ever felt that much pain, my chest was throbbing hard and the pain was too extreme for even a wolf like me.

It felt as if my heart was tied with silver chain, then silver pins were being stuck in one after the other. The pain was slightly similar to that of the mate bond but it was far more painful than that so I couldn’t even guess if it was the reason. Ever since Freya went missing, I never felt our bond, it was as if she died so even if this is a signal, it shouldn’t be this painful was my conclusion.

Immediately I draped down the bed, my father matched in to check up on me when he heard I was awake. “How are you feeling? Is there anything I can do for you?” were the words that flew out of his mouth.
