“Thought you won't be coming to work today,” I heard my boss saying after seeing me entering his office with his secretary behind me.

I narrowed my eyes on him as he scanned through the papers in front of him before facing his computer desktop and handing something to his secretary. He’s like a normal busy man if not for the fact that I’ve seen much worse.

Unknowingly, my eyes landed on the plaque just in front of him on the table.

‘Ambrose Clark.’ I thought of what Archie had said after reading his name. ‘He is the ruler of the Triad, a second leading mafia of the underground.’

No wonder his name sounded familiar to me. Ezekiel has once shown me a lot of names that connect to his business and the underground.

“Since you're both here,” Mr. Clark said before he stood up and faced us. “Ms. Savannah, now that you are my personal assistant and you run errands for me, you should know that if I leave the country, you’ll be coming with me too.”
