The next thing I knew, we went over to his car and he took me to some restaurant but surprisingly, we didn’t stop.
“Hey, I thought your taking me to dinner! We just pased by the restaurant”
He laughed while holding his stare on the road.
“Yeah, of course I will. Wait until we will reach the apartment, I’ll cook.”
Not good.
"You can just drop by a local restaurant…” I spoke.
He didn’t answer.
I don’t know whether to feel awkward or alarmed.
Im fact I dont know how I should feel.
This guy is totally strange.
Just a minute ago he was different. And for some reason, I know Kai is not the type of person who lets other people get into his comfort zone.
Especially me.
I'm someone he totally despise.
“Maybe I should go home…” I spoke.
“You can’t, we’re here.”
I didn’t notice.
I was so focused on trying to think of alibi to not go with him. And yet we have arrived.
I went out but I could really feel the awkwardness and hesitation.
“Do you want me to get the red carpet for you?” he muttered.
Wow, he is really sarcastic.
I entered his room. It was painted with garden green, with brown and orange ceramics. It was really clean and tidy. Pretty flowers too.
We both went to the living room.
“Can you wait for a little moment? I’m going to prepare our dinner.” he spoke as he removed his bag.
“Yeah sure...” I answered back.
He then went to the kitchen leaving me in the living room alone.
And frankly speaking, I can hardly relax. I feel so stiff.
This was not a good idea in the first place.
“You alright?” he spoke the moment he went back to the living room.
“Um Yeah…”
He then went back to the kitchen.
I took my phone and tried opening it but just my luck, the battery is dead. I scanned for my charger and it’s not there.
This night can’t get any worse.
I peeped inside the kitchen and saw him starting to cook. “Kai, can I borrow your charger? I need to text someone but my battery is dead.” I asked.
“Sure, try to look inside my bag.”
And so I did. But surprisingly, we didn’t have the same phone. He’s using IPhone while mine is Samsung.
“Did you find it?”
“Yeah but, I can’t use it. I’m using Samsung.” I answered.
“Too bad."
Thia is really bad alright.
"Well, the food is ready, let’s eat.”
I followed him to the kitchen and yes, it was cleaner than mine.
“Sorry I don’t have much time to cook something fancy” he spoke as we were both started eating.
“No worries. I’m sorry to bother you too.”
He only smiled at me and this time, it was the different smile.
I wonder, it feels like I am facing two different persons in one human body.
There are times when it feels like I am talking to a stranger.
“Alpha, are you ok?” Kai retorted seeing my thoughts are flying.
“Y...Yeah, I’m sorry. But can I ask you something?”
“What is it?”
“Why the sudden change of treatment. This morning you feel so different.”
He stopped eating and then sighed.
“I have to say sorry too...” he muttered.
“For what?”
“Well, it’s about something that I am going to show you tonight.”

Alphas POV Morning came. Everything seemed normal like nothing has happened. I mean nothing happened, ofcourse but the thought of what we slightly did is bothering me in this early morning. I slightly turned my sight towards Kai. We'll it was never a surprise to see him surrounded with girls so early in the morning. He did well in our first two classes, getting recognized for his intelligence. As usual. He is always on the center spot even if he did nothing. People are attracted with his personality. Just like when we were still in elementary. He never changed. Later on, Rhean joined the on going commotion. She is one of our pretty classmates. Rhean seemed to be enjoying Kai's company. Then for a moment, Kai looked at me. He then planted his evil smirk and evil stares.
Alphas POV It's tiring. This monotone tempo of my routine is making me tired. I immediately put my bag on the table then sat on the sofa right beside it. My head is now slumped on the edge of sofa, keeping my stare in the ceiling. Everyday is tiring but, at some point of my tiredness, I always come to a decision to just sit up straight, get my stuff and work. At the back of my head, I dont want to rest at all. I'm just really, hungry for more. Hungry for things I want to have. When did this start anyway? I bluntly ask myself. Well it mostly started when I was young.
