Chapter 1:  Marble

The night in the forest east of the demon kingdom was dark and a bit scary. Not everyone dares to go to this place.

But today, this deserted forest has the appearance of a girl named Clara. 

She comes from a royal family of foxes. Everyone in the demon kingdom used to treat her like a princess. But after the war between the fox and wolf clan broke out, everything changed. Her parents died in a tragic battle.

Despite being of royal blood, she is still fragile. The whole clan began to abandon her because they saw her as useless.

Clara let out a long sigh while looking at the magical night sky. 

Clara had to leave the palace and live in this desolate place. Tonight, she had to sleep in this cave.

Clara took out from her pocket a shining Marble. This Marble was the last gift her grandfather gave her. He said it was a relic of her parents. He even advised her that she had to go beyond her limits if she wanted this Marble to belong.

The stone has a crimson color, like fresh blood. It sparkles like a star in the night sky.

She always wondered what this stone was? 

Suddenly, Clara had a crazy idea. She wanted to pour her blood on the stone. Her noble bloodline will undoubtedly help. 

Clara tore off an old cloth and stuffed it into her mouth. She took a knife from her wrist. The sharp blade reflected her gaunt face. 

Clara looked up at the night sky and took a deep breath. She is always afraid and never dares to take risks.

But this time, Clara has to change. She had no other way to go. Grandfather and parents have passed away, and no one loves her anymore.

Clara used a knife to cut her arm. Drops of blood flowed downhill, dripping onto Marble.

Clara's pain was numb. She quickly used an old towel to stop the bleeding. Although she tried to handle it, her tears could not be contained but fell. 

Clara's healing ability is also worse than any other demon. Her wound will also be worse.

She suppressed the pain to stare intently at the Marble.

Nothing happens.

But Clara still patiently waited. She believes that the gods will not let her down. After five minutes of waiting, the stone finally had a dramatic change. The color of the stone is getting darker and darker. It began to rise and hover around her.

Clara's heartbeat was speedy. She opened her mouth and gasped.

The Marble suddenly gave off an aura and flew into her mouth.

Clara felt that her body was changing. She felt her whole body was running hot blood, and her eyes could see through the forest. 

Her wound was also dry and was slowly healing at a dizzying speed. 

Her latent powers began to awaken.

Clara let out a weird smile. She will pay back what they did to her.

After a good night's sleep, Clara finally woke up. She let out a big yawn.

Clara looked around for a while and discovered a strange girl lying in the cave. She cautiously approached the motionless person.

The girl lying on the bed suddenly stood up. Out of fear, she turned into a rabbit and hid in the corner of the cave. Every time she is scared, the girl will turn into a dog and hide in the root.

Clara laughed at the rabbit demon's cute action. 

"Don't be afraid, I won't hurt you!" Clara said and approached her. 

The rabbit opened its eyes wide and looked at Clara. Even though Clara didn't show her ears, the rabbit recognized Clara as a fox.

Clara has bright red curly hair. Her slanting eyes are significant and seductive, and even her heart-shaped lips are incredibly dreamy. 

Clara is such a beautiful and charming fox.

Feeling safe, the rabbit turned into a beautiful girl again.

"My name is Dove. I'm sorry that I slept here without your permission." Dove talked in fear.

Clara sat down on the rock and watched the girl before her eyes.

Unlike Clara's charming beauty, Dove is a pure and innocent girl. Her big round eyes filled with tears. Skin as white as snow. 

Dove looks like a fluffy cotton ball as white as snow.

"My name is Clara. Don't be afraid! You can sleep here anytime you want!" Clara said while smiling brightly.

"Why are you here?" This forest is the most desolate place in the kingdom, Clara wondered. Not everyone dares to come near here.

"My parents were killed and robbed by a monster, I ran away and got lost in this forest." Dove said with tears in her eyes.

Clara feels Dove's pain. She was also in Dove's shoes. 

"You stay here with me. I'll protect you." Clara said.

Thanks to the power of Marble, she believes that she will be strong enough to protect the weak.

That night, Clara and Dove sat next to the torch. Clara roasted a wild chicken, but Dove's rich aroma didn't distract. Because she is a rabbit, she only eats fruits and vegetables.

The forest grew cold and lonely. Dove rested his head on Clara's shoulder and slept.

"Thank you for helping me." She says from her heart.

  Clara smiled warmly at Dove's cute action. Today is the first time she has had a friend. Since knowing the true family secret, Clara gradually lost trust in others. But for Dove, it's different.

Although they only met today, the two girls have become close friends who rely on each other.
