Seventy- five

Alex

I blinked, trying to bring my vision into focus. Everywhere was so blurry, and I felt so weak, I could barely use any of my limbs.

It was a struggle. The more I tried to open my eyes, the more it was hard for me to keep staying conscious.

But I forced myself to push through with it, and I opened my eyes, slowly, but surely, nearly blinded by the bright white light that unraveled, right in front of my eyes, nearly blinding me.

I winced at the pain in my eyes, but once the pixels cleared, I could properly see that I was staring at a white ceiling.

Looking around, the room was white in general, but what caught my eye was the IV stand right beside me, connected to my arm. And that’s when the memories came flooding back to me.

“He’s up! Alex is up!” I could hear someone shout and when I turned to look, I saw that it was Martha. She looked so worried, yet so relieved, it made my heart swell.

“Quick, call the doctor! Don’t just stand there!” I heard a woman scold. It was a pretty blond
