Tears blurred my vision as I threw my clothes and little belongings blindly into my bag. These past hours have been like a nightmare to me. Everything I thought I believed in, came crashing down like a pack of cards.

I still couldn’t believe that Alex was capable of all the claims that had been put on him, but it made perfect sense if I thought about it deeply. And that was what hurt me the most.

He lied to me, kept such a huge secret from me, one that was so bad, I couldn’t ignore it. Everything he has said to me was based on a huge lie. A Wanderer? A Traveler? I can't believe I was that gullible.

Well, it’s all over now. I’m going back home, consequences be damned. It might have been quite a rash decision to make, but what’s done has been done and it beats staying here.

I hauled my little luggage out of the room. I made sure to leave the door unlocked in case he came in and I left the burner phone since I wouldn’t need it anyway.

“May I help you, ma’am?” The receptionist ask
