Chapter 4

I open my eyes, it's bright, very bright. I groan in pain, moving my arm. Finally my eyes ajust to the light, I'm in a room, it smells of wood and vanilla.

"Are you awake little wolf." a deep voice says suddenly, startling me, causing me to gasp. I sit up quickly looking around the room, sitting a couple feet away from me is a man. His eyes lock onto mine, his eyes silver, He stands up and walks over to me, pushing me gently to lay back down. He then raises up the back of the bed for me to sit up slightly to see him.

"I didn't mean to startle you. Don't move to suddenly you're still injured." he says to me moving the chair he was sitting in closer to me. He then sits, watching me with a steady gaze, the smell of wood and vanilla was coming from him.

"Where am I?" I say relaxing abit, he didnt seem much of a threat.

"I will tell you soon enough" The mysterious man say to me leaning forward "However I need to know who you are, why you were in my territory with rogue's attacking you. I see youre from the Midnight Pack."

"May I know how long i was out for atleast?" I say looking at him, my tone abit stern. He looks at me with an amused look on his face.

"Two days." he says to me, goddess this man looks like a god, his hair is black, his silver eyes illumnitating, his skin slightly tanned, his muscles can be seen through the shirt he was wearing.

Two days, cant believe i was out for that long. I look at the man in front of me, his smell is absolutely captivateing, his eyes narrowing at me.

"Now, answer my questions." he says leaning closer. "What is your name." his voice deep.

"Mae, Mae Evans." I say softly, a look of surprisement on his face.

"As in daughter of Kat and AJ Evans?" he asks me. I nod in response. "Well no wonder why you were able to snap the one rogues neck." the look of amusement on his face, his eyes studying me. "Why are you so far from the Midnight pack?"

"That one is a long story." I say looking around the room looking for my bag. I watch him then lean down and pick up my bag.

"Looking for this?" 

"Yes." I say to him, as he puts it back down. 

"Now answer my question on why youre so far, I dispise the Midnight Pack, and that the fact that youre here in my territory, makes me wonder if youre some type of spy or something. Usually i would have killed you on the spot, especially when you crossed into my territory with rogues. However i thought I'd be nice and give you a chance to explain your self." I could hear slight irritation in his voice.

I sigh and look down at my lap, my arm wraped completely in a bandage, Aria hasn't said a single word to me, im guessing she's still too injured to speak.

"The day you saw me with the rogue's was my 18th birthday, I had found out the day previously, I was Alpha Silas's mate. I was used as a maid and a punching bag ever since my parents were killed, the whole pack blamed me for my parents death since i was with them at the time of the attack. My wolf had absouletly no pull to him, as if the mate bond was nonexsistant. Jason helped me plan my escape, reason for that bag, he had put a phone and some money in their for me. Jason is the only one i have left in my life, he's my  best friend, always like an older brother to me."

"Jason? As in one of Silas's Beta's?" he asks me, i look up at him, i can see slight anger in his eyes, so i look back down. I just realized i have no idea what this man's name is, and i cant tell which pack im currently in, for i cant see the mark on his wrist, he has it turned over, but I am guessing he's an Alpha, since he keep referring this to his territory.

"Yes" I nod "Him and  Beta Alex let me escape after i rejected Silas as my mate. Silas had Jason and Alex  and some of the other warriors try and chase me down to bring me back to him. I ran out of territory for what seemed like hours, when i stopped to catch my breath that when the Rogue's came at me, I kept running, dodging the attacks that i could, when i saw the clearing from the woods I took off to it, guessing you watched me snap the neck of the one Rogue." I look up at him "So thats how i ended up in your territory, and im guessing you carried me here after i collapsed. May I ask a question now?" 

He nods at me, his silver eyes locking on with mine. "What is your name? I had been trying to see if i can see your Pack mark, however the way you had your hands, i was unable to see it."

I watch him smirk at me. "Well little wolf, My name is Loren Blake, Alpha of the Blood Moon Pack."

I go wide-eyed, looking at him, my mouth slightly open, I wanted to say something but the words just never came out. Loren Blake, the most dangerous Alpha ever known. Though he takes care of his Pack, he is the most dangerous towards other packs, especially if they double cross him and break the treaties that he had made with them. The stories ive heard about him, makes him sound absoultely terrifying. However that's not what i see in front of me.

Loren chuckles, as he stands up and sits on the side of the bed "Guess you wernt expecting it to be me."

"I'm sorry, never thought I would meet another Alpha of another pack this way, especially it being you."i say softly, blushing slightly at the fact he's sitting on the infirmary bed.

"No need to appologize, I'm pretty sure youve heard some stories about me, and i can tell you that some are true but some are not." he says to me, looking at my arm. "You still hurting?  youre not healing properly, im guessing your wolf hasnt awoken yet."

I nod, "Yeah, my whole body hurts if im being truthful." I say leaning back into the bed more, i wasnt lying, the pain is awful. "Now that I answered your questions, what are you going to do with me."

"Well, I'm not a wolf to just let somebody go, espically somebody who has sparked my intrest." he says to me undoing the bandage around my arm, I whimper from the pain. "I am very sorry, i just need to look and see how it looks darling."

"It;s okay, just havent been in pain like this since I had a pack memeber attack me for just looking his way." I say softly.

Loren growls "The fact they blamed you for what happened to youre parents, is beyond assinine. Silas allowiong you to be abused that way, I should kill him for it." he finally takes the bandage all the way off. "It's still not healing at all, your wolf must be terribly injured, that rogue got ahold of you very well." he says touching my shoulder. 

when he touched me it was a weird numbing feeling from his touch, it was strange. I look up at him, his eyes meeting mine. "Aria, is her name." I say looking at him. Why is he beign so nice to me, he's acting as if he ginually cares about me, but why?

"Hmm Aria, maybe' ill get to meet her, when you shift for the first time. However for now, lets just hope she wakes up soon, I'll get Amanda, my pack doctor to see if there's anything to give you to help you heal. I would do it my self, but it would be excrutiating since were not.." Loren was cut off by the door opening. walking in was two men both of them had brown hair, however one had blue eyes where the other had brown eyes.

Since were not what? Im so confused now.

"Alpha" One of the men say to Loren.

"Yes Kai." Loren says getting off the side of my bed and walks over to the two men. I watch the three of them, all of them extremly tall and muscular. I believe it was Kai, he looked over Lorens shoulder, looking at me with a slight smile, theyre talking quietly. I sit there looking around the room, sneaking glances at Loren, he's so captivating, i couldnt help but look at him, his scent makes me walk to melt. 

Loren turns around, and smirks his eyes steady on me. Hell I was staring for to long. I wuickly advert my eyes away, blushing slightly, from embarssment for bwing caught staring at him. Loren walks over to me, taking the bandage and wraping it around my arm gently, covering the wound back up.

"I must leave to do some buisness, however I will be back not before long." he finishes wrapping up my arm. "So try and get some more rest, hopefully Aria will awaken with some more sleep. The doctor will be by soon to give you some medicine for pain, and ill make sure to ask about something to help speed up the healing process." he says smiling softly at me, i look at Kai and the other man, they must be his Beta's, both of them are looking at each other with confusion, one ofthem trying to hold back a laugh.

"Thank you Alpha." I say softly, lowering my head to him, however i feel his hand go under my chin, and he lifts my head up to meet his gaze, causing me to blush.

"You may call me Loren." he says to me, his voice stern yet gentle. I nod in response, not knowing what to say to him. "Good girl, now get some rest." he says bring the blanket over me, laying the bed back down. "I've interrigated you enough today." 

I close my eyes, he was right, I needed rest. I was exhausted, Loren started saying something however I was swept into darkness.
