5 : A night with you

She gawked at him, enlarging her grey eyes as a smirk emerged across his fair hard face. He pulled himself back, standing straight.

"Well, let's go", he pulled the hood up.

"Were you serious?", she exclaimed. "Is there actually a practice session?"

"Well, of course. What did you think? I came here for another purpose? Like saving you?", he rolled his eyes.

"N–no", she drove her eyes away.

"Was he actually doing something?", his eyebrows drew together as Haya immediately lifted her eyes.

"No!!", she clamored. The fear of Rubel was scrambling inside her. She was not exactly afraid of him but everything revolving around him. He was an Alpha to be of one of the strongest packs of USA. It would be her stupidity to speak against him when she wasn't even worthy of fighting back.

"Come now. I left my practice for you", Aaron turned around and walked towards his Audi.

Haya took tiny steps, following him, reaching there. Her subconscious was still messed up with a bunch of thoughts. He had never been out with any guy at that hour except Rubel. In fact, she could never get along with guys.

"Come on", Aaron spoke from the driving seat, peeking at her through the window. "Did I have to open this door for you, Princess Cinderella?"

Haya clenched her jaw and walked faster, banging inside the Audi as she slammed the door, making a huge noise.

"Gosh! Princess Cinderella is losing her temper", as he cracked up, she glared at him. Aaron's lips stretched into a scowl now as if he was deliberately poking her.

"And you the frog! Don't show attitude like a prince", she looked away, fluffing her cheeks in anger.

"What the fuck did you just call me? Frog? I? Do I look like a frog?", Aaron clamored, irritated and frustrated with her firing reply. But Haya didn't pay attention to him. Instead, she looked out of the window.

"Have you ever seen my handsome face?", he asked again but she was still silent. "Goddess! All your attitude is only reserved for me, I guess"

The second moment, she was again drowned in the thoughts. The reason why she agreed to come with Aaron at that hour was also that she didn't want Rubel to come again and drag her to abort. She found it better to go with Aaron while she didn't even know why she had trusted Aaron so much.

However, dumping all the useless talks, Aaron drove towards the campus, only silence was present between them. Deep down, Haya was nervous with Aaron too because of his sudden behavior with her.

"Okay, so there's a match tomorrow", she looked at him while his eyes were on the road.

"Yeah!", he whistled, rounding his lips.

"Who is coming? I mean the girls... It's too late. So.... Will there be others?", her voice filled with tension.

"No! Only you and I", Aaron drifted his eyes back to her. The words which escaped his mouth shuddered her along with his intense gaze. She gulped again.

"What–what do you mean? I mean– only I and you.... What about others?"

With her shaking words, Aaron laughed aloud, "awww Princess Cinderella is scared of me?"

"Shut up", she gazed at him and sworn not to speak another word, scolding Aaron for the million times in her mind. But the unknown fear was still there in her heart.

"Do you like music?", his abrupt question dragged her out of thoughts.

She was finding an answer to speak.

"Well, you're not Cinderella. You're Rapunzel without long hairs, far away from this social world", he frowned as she passed him a confused look. "I mean you need to think so much before saying if you like music or not! As if you never heard this word 'music'

"Amm...no", she tugged the thin layers of brown hairs behind her ears as Aaron glanced at her every detail. "I can hear music but not favorite exactly"

"Oh! Got it. That means I can turn it one", he strived to turn the music on while keeping his eyes on the road.

As the music started to play and Aaron shoved his hand down, the tiny compartment down the music system opened wide and Haya's eyes automatically went there.

Her eyes popped out as she discovered something in foil paper. She wasn't too dumb to recognize the packs of c***m. The fear inside her was now higher at the peak and all she wanted was to jump out of the car right then. Aaron didn't notice that at all.

Haya got clueless about what to do as she pinned herself against the door, as far away as she could. Her voice stuck inside her throat.

She got completely numb in unknown fear where she couldn't do anything. To escape from one situation she thought she was stuck in another one. She started praying hard.

"Well, so Cinderella did you have something in lunch?", he asked.

She was silent.

"I asked you something", whenever Aaron repeated, his tone wasn't sweet anymore.

"Ha? Lunch?", her voice shook.

"First of all, you're not deaf, not even dumb. Stop making people believe something that you are not", he grumbled. "And yeah! You heard it right. Had lunch?"

"I did", she stammered.

"Liar Cinderella!", he husked. Though he wasn't using rough words, not even a rough tone, his voice had a different kind of intensity that throbbed her inside. "What's the point of lying on food?"

Her mind was still stuck on the view that she saw a few minutes ago. And she was in a huge doubt about where that was going.

"Why didn't you eat?"

"I–I said I had", a twitched voice escaped her mouth.

"But you lied"

"I didn't"

"Again lying"

"How do you know I'm lying?"

"That means you lied?", Aaron winked at her while grinning and leaving her stunned. The way he made her spit out the truth was literally something unexpected to her.

"Come on. Accept it"

"Fine. I didn't", she scoffed, looking away.

Just then, they felt a jerk as the vehicle stopped at the gate of the campus. Aaron climbed down immediately but Haya took time to come out and look around the place. It was calm, quiet, and dark only a few portions of the area could be seen due to the lights. She glanced at Aaron and noticed that he didn't touch those things that she had seen and feared. A sigh of relief came out of her.

"Please", he spread his hands, bowing down to her and asking her to walk, leaving no chance to tease her. She grimaced and walked inside, Aaron following him.

Two security guards were dozing off almost. They kept walking until they reached the basketball court.

"There's no one", she muffled, her eyes flickered in anxiety.

"I had told you, didn't I?", he raised his eyebrows at her. "There's only us"

"But you were kidding", her voice full of surprise.

"Did I say that? I just laughed at her nervous face. That didn't mean I was kidding. You should speak more rather than assuming", grimacing at her, he pulled off his t-shirt over his head, revealing his tough muscular body.

Haya shoved her gaze away immediately.

"Are you serious? You're changing when I'm here?", she gasped.

"So? Many girls had seen me like this. I can't help it if you never did. Anyway, you should change too. I don't think you can dance in this sundress", he said.

"How can I change here?", she blurted out, almost gawking at him.

"Dumbass Cinderella!", Aaron frowned. "I meant to say go and change in the changing room"

She got embarrassed and immediately walked away, turning to the locker room. After being so much nervous she had thought of leaving but something stopped her. She was having more negative vibes from Rubel than Aaron and she preferred not to go back home alone.

Why am I trusting this guy so much? Even when I'm nervous, I still can't feel too much unsafe the way I felt with Rubel. But he is too much weird. Why is he being so good with me? Even though he taunts me, mocks me, teases me, I don't feel insulted but he distracts my mind completely from all the mess. Is he really good?

While thinking about all this, she changed into a sports bra and boxers and came out. She could hear the sound of dabbling the ball.

She saw Aaron basketing and dabbling the fall simultaneously when he was panting and sweating as hell. He wasn't stopping so easily. Haya's eyes froze on him playing so smoothly with so much focus. She had seen him playing in a tournament last year and she wasn't much impressed with his skills where almost more than half of the girls went head over heels for his looks and body. She felt he had improved much. As he threw the ball in the basket again, she clapped unknowingly.

"You improved a lot"

Aaron immediately looked sideways while huffing as his gaze iced on her. She looked completely different now. Her tanned skin looked appealing and her chubby body made her look the cutest. She wasn't bulky either but she didn't have the ideal figure of a sexy woman. Aaron kept staring at her with a magical spark and calmness in his eyes. She was smiling at him while clapping. Her chuckle made a light noise that hummed inside his head like a melody.

She stopped clapping and her smile vanished as she realized he had been used to claps. Claps from thousands of people. Her single clap could make no difference, nor her opinion about his skills.

"Sorry!", she looked away. "I just said"

While dabbling the ball, Aaron reached her as she took a few steps back.

"Thanks", he looked straight into her eyes as she lifted her head, widening her eyes. "No girl ever commented on my skills. But I'm glad that someone noticed my earlier flaws and the improvement"

A smile stretched across her face.

Aaron walked to the lobby and grabbed the basket of fruits and returned to her.

"Have something and get started"

She took the basket without any argument.

"Well, am I supposed to practice alone?", she inquired nervously.

"Yes, why not? I'm practicing alone. Can't you?"

"I can. I just asked"

"Don't keep asking. Go and practice, make plans about the team. There's a lot more work", he said. "And– when are your parents coming?"

"Maybe in the morning", she muttered.

"I see. You'll practice till the morning"

Her eyes shot up. She couldn't practice for hours during the pregnancy.

"Well, I can't– I mean I'll get tired"

"Then keep watching me practice", he scoffed.

Haya shook her head and walked towards the area which was reserved for cheerleaders, the court was a few feet away. She ate an apple somehow and then turned on the music player at a low volume.

She had been a while she had danced. Her body felt stiff. She did a few warm-ups and started practicing with full focus.

Aaron was tired of continuous practice so he took a break while drinking water. His eyes moved to Haya automatically. He never watched her before.

A year ago, she was still among the cheerleaders but he had never observed her dancing this way. Her every take was clean and sharp and no doubt she was an excellent dancer. He couldn't take his eyes away from her face that was filled with peace and bliss as if she was waiting for this moment to turn the music on and dance alone her heart out.

A smile appeared on Aaron's face, staring at her but soon his wolf howled warning him straight. He drove his eyes away.

Don't commit a sin, Aaron. She is not like other girls you are allowed to look at. He thought to himself.
