Dinner that night started on a quitter foot. From a Nike away, she could hear Katerina and Christina both rejoicing that they had been invited into a family dinner.
As Amara walked towards the dinning Hall, she couldn’t help but smile and think. ‘How foolish her to think that I hadn't caught on.’
When she arrived at the dinning Hall, her brother and grandfather were already there. They exchanged greetings and as they waited for Katerina and Christina to show up, Elvis asked.
"How are things with Elijah?"
Amara turned to face her grandfather. "Sorry?"
"You two looked really close that night." He pointed out and covered her hand with his. "We're all expecting great things from the both of you, Amara. Hurry up and give us the good news."
Amara blinked in confusion. "Good news?"
Elvis glanced at Lorenzo, shook his head and laughed.
"Marriage, Amara, we're waiting for news of your wedding or engagement, at least."<
