Chapter 119 Guilt.

The ambulance arrived, and as the paramedics began to work on Tobias, Amara watched, a sense of panic and fear in her.

She wasn’t sure why she felt this way. She wasn’t sure why she cared, she was meant to hate him and wish his life misery, the exact same one he had inflicted on her, but, the feeling of him dying was not something Amara could bear.

“Ma’am, we’ll handle it from here,” One of the paramedics said, noticing as she lingered far too closely to Tobias.

“He’s going to be okay, right?” She asked as she reluctantly took a step back and watched as one of the paramedic wheeled him into the back of the ambulance.

The woman looked unsure. Amara could see the uncertainty in her scrawny brown eyes and the way her lips pressed into a thin line was another sign that she wasn’t certain about this.

“We’ll try our best.” Was all the answer she received.

Taking a step back, the female paramedics added. “Ma’am, we’ll be leaving now, so, if you know his family please-“

“I’m his family,” She
