Chapter 17 Fighting Her Battles Herself.

While Amara peaceful snoozed in the comfort of her mattress, Tobias sat in the dim atmosphere of his office, reading through the same article she had read and re-watching the video attached.

The first two times he watched the video, he had refused to believe that it was just as the article had said, that Celestine purposefully pushed herself into the pool to gain sympathy and attention. But the more he watched the video, the more he saw that Celestine had indeed fallen into the pool herself.

She hadn’t been pushed.

‘But if that’s true,’ He thought. ‘Then, why would she go out of her way to make it seem as if Amara pushed her?’

He knew Celestine wasn’t the type of person who would do such a thing. At least, he thought she wasn’t. But now, after seeing those pictures and this video, he was left with an uncertain feeling that wasn’t settling all too well with him.
