Chapter 3

PANAY ang paglingon ni Kai sa kaliwa’t kanan, sinisiguro na walang makakita sa kanya. It’s past midnight already kaya nasisiguro niyang walang makakakita sa kanya ngayon but he have to make sure that he’ll be able to leave this place without any trace.

Kai knew for a fact that he can do that but the whole place was massive! Darn! It wouldn’t be called as a palace for nothing, dumbass.

Still, he was very determined to leave the castle.

He needs to go back. Kailangan niyang malaman kung sino ang may pakana ng aksidenteng iyon. And his father—

“Fuck!” How could he ever forget about him? Damn!

If his memory wasn’t mistaken, that accident happen when he was about to check up on him! How the hell did he forgot that part?!

He needs to escape fast! Dad. . . He needs me!

“Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!” He wasn’t in a stable condition, that’s what his woman said last time.

And to think na ang dalawang mag-ina lamang ang nandun sa tabi ng ama niya. Damn it! He can’t even trust those people. 

“I need to leave.” He muttered between his breath saka patuloy na naglakad sa kung saan just to leave the huge palace.

Just as he was about to enter another hall, three guards entered. Agad siyang nagtungo sa madilim na parte ng hallway at doon nagtago.

Kai observe them from a distance. Tila nagmamadali ang mga ito kaya nang medyo makalayo na sila sa kanyang kinaroroonan ay mabilis niya itong sinundan.

And after minutes of following those guards. Ganun na lamang ang paghinga niya nang malalim matapos makita ang nakabukas at napakalaking double doors sa kanyang harapan.

The castle's main door! Finally!

Tahimik niyang tinahak ang daan papalabas ng palasyo. Just as he thought he could easily escape ay ganun na lamang ang pagkadismaya niya matapos makita ang iilang mga sundalong bantay na nagkalat sa labas ng palasyo. 

He then stared at the huge walls surrounding the whole castle. It’s the gate. 

He sigh. Kung dito pa nga sa labas ng palasyo ay maraming mga guwardiya na ang naglilibot pa’no pa kaya sa labas ng malaking gate nito. 

While hiding, Kai was sweating hard and his body is cold as fuck. His hands were shaky too!

Kai was thinking his way out when unexpectedly, someone called out.

“Sino iyan?” Anito.

Frozen, he didn’t dare look back at whoever was speaking.

“Sino ka?” The voice went nearer and nearer so without thinking, Kai run as fast as he could until he could reach the gate.

“Hey! It’s a thief!”

T-thief? Who? Him? 

Gustuhin man niyang suntukin ito ay hindi na siya nag-abala pang gumawa ng mga bagay na ikakapahamak niya lamang.

Kai tried looking back and to his surprise, five—no six soldiers were running and chasing after him. Ganun na lamang ang pagmura niya matapos mapansing mas dumarami pa ang mga sundalong nakasunod sa kanya.

“Fuck!!”

Don’t worry, Kai. You're almost near the gate. Just a few meters and he'll be finally out from this place.

He was near the gate when the guards who were guarding it noticed him.

Fuck.

Bullets of sweats were streaming from his hair to his face and to his body. He's fucked up.

“Sir, ayos lang po ba kayo? A-Ano po bang—”

“Move away! I need to get out!” Pagpuputol niya sa sinabi nito nang bigla siya nitong pahintuin at harangan. 

“Sir—”

“Oh, shut the fuck up. Just move away! I need to leave!” 

Kai even tried attacking the guards but to no avail, they were armed with heavy armors, and ended up hurting himself.

“Fuck! Damn it! Umalis nga kayo diyan!”

“Kailangan po naming malaman kung sino—” napahinto ito nang may biglang sumigaw sa malayo.

“Huwag mo siyang paalisin! He’s a thief!”

Muli niyang tiningnan ang direksyon kung saan nagmula ang boses na iyon. It was the guard who caught him earlier! And fuck! They were so fucking close to where he was in.

Nanlalaki ang matang tiningnan niya ang dalawang guwardiya sa gate. 

“Let me out, you fuckers!”

“Sir—”

“Huwag mo ‘yang papalabasin!”

Shit!

“Sir, mabuti pa ay sumama na lamang kayo pa—”

“Ah! You useless. . .” With that he irritatingly kicked the man’s ‘thing’ between his thighs.

“Aaaaaarghhhhhh!!!”

Masama niya itong tiningnan, “. . .piece of shit.”

“Aba’y loko ka pala.” Sabi naman ng isa pang kasama nito saka siya inambahan ng suntok.

‘Goodness, please let me rest! Masakit pa ang katawan ko!’

Kai tried his best to avoid receiving punches from that guard saka niya ito inatake. And the same as what he did to the first guard, Kai madly kicked the man’s c*ck causing him to shout in so much pain and then passed out.

Habol-hiningang inirapan niya ang dalawang lalaki. Muli niyang tiningnan ang mga guwardiyang patuloy pa ring humahabol sa kanya.

“Damn! ‘Gotta run!” And with that he run continuously and finally he was able to run past the gate at ganun na lamang ang sayang naramdaman niya nang tuluyang makalabas sa buong palasyo.

Finally!

Kai continued running until he reached a gloomy dark forest. Saka lamang siya napahinto nang mapansin iyon.

Ang kaninang kaba ay unti-unting bumalik nang mapansin niyang mag-isa niyang tinatahak ang madilim at masukal na kagubatan. And the random sounds of various insects were adding creepiness within the forest.

“Now what?” He muttered under his voice. 

Bigla ay naramdaman niya ang bigat sa kanyang katawan. Fuck! Sino ba naman kasi ang tangang pasyente ang makikipaghabulan at makipagbugnuan sa mga guwardiya kahit na hindi pa masyadong magaling ang sugat sa katawan?

Buhay nga naman.

Kai was slowly taking his time when a loud yet deep roar came from somewhere near him! 

The roaring sound of a beast didn’t stop until it was almost meters away near him! 

“What the..”

Kai became alert and heightened his guards up. Then again, the roaring continued and when he turned around, his eyes widened with shock.

A huge wild beast appeared infront of him. Its fangs were big and sharp while its mouth were salivating with hunger. Kai gulped when its eyes directly gazes at him.

Oh, fuck.

Nanginginig man ay pilit niyang iniatras ang sarili ngunit ganun na lamang ang takot na kanyang naramdaman ng paunti-unti ay mahina itong naglakad papalapit sa kanya.

While slowly walking back from the beast, Kai accidentally stepped on a fucking branch causing a small yet irritating crack sound.

He looked back at the wild beast when suddenly, mabilis na binuksan ng mabangis na hayop ang sariling bibig at sinubukan siyang kagatin.

“Shit!” 

Mabilis ang naging pagkilos ni Kai at agad na iniiwas ang sarili sa bibig nito. Nagsimulang umatake ang hayop sa kanya while releasing a loud and painful roar causing him to cover his ears.

Tanging pag-iwas lamang ang nagawa ni Kai sa paulit-ulit na pag-atake ng hayop. He even tried attacking and defending his own self but unfortunately masyadong mabilis at malakas ang hayop na kanyang kaharap.

He endlessly run to avoid it but it was no use. The beast was too fast. Kai started to slow down. His vision were blurry and his feet were getting weaker.

Pinilit niyang bilisan ang pagtakbo ngunit tanging mahinang paglakad lamang ang kanyang nagawa. 

His body became so weak that his feet couldn’t take it any longer. Kai helplessly falls down on the dirty soil and tried so hard to crawl away from the beast.

Again, the beast roared and was ready to devour him and all Kai could do was to close his eyes and wait for his life to fucking end.

Seconds later, nothing happened.

He was weak. 

He opened his eyes and it was blurry. His breathing became weak and slow. He wanted to call for help but all he could see was a blurry yet a beautiful night sky.

But before he was about to pass out, a man appeared and a voice was calling out his name. But Kai was too weak to even look at him.

“Help. . .” Kai weakly muttered. He can’t even clearly hear his own voice.

He heard footsteps coming near him. He then felt a soft caress on his face and all he could see was a blurry image of a man.

“Its alright, now. I’m here. No one can harm you anymore, my bride.”

Those were the last words he heard before his eyes finally gave up and lost his consciousness.
