"These are the servants that was sent by the Crown Prince, they are all well-trained to fulfill all your needs."
The Butler arrived earlier inside my chamber together with these unfamiliar servants, all of them were looking like a doll standing with no emotion on their faces.
Isn't it funny? To see how Hades created these servants just for me? Well, it's not like I don't know his purpose, he sent these servants to guard me and to report everything I am doing to him.
I tapped my fingers on the table, looking at them from head to their toes.
All of them are exactly the same, from their emotions to their looks. I wonder what sort of families do they came from?
"Is there anything you wanted to say my lady?" the Butler asked.
I crossed my legs and observed them, each one of them should have at least one emotion to be seen.
They're good at hiding, it's a 100% scale from one to ten that they would really betray me, so I need to choose someone that would either betray Hades or kill herself.
I don't want to raise a stupid dog that would bark its owner, I want it to be a perfect being that would help me to start my revenge.
I stopped my eyes on the second to the last lady. She was emotionless just like the rest, but her fingers are fidgeting. It was like she's telling me to pick her, pushing me to pull her and make her as my servant.
I chuckled and snapped my fingers. "I'll choose that lady over there," I said and raised my finger on her direction.
The Butler seems to not understand what I said.
"Pardon me my lady, but the Crown Prince sent all these ladies to be your servants—"
I yawned making him stopped from talking. I gave him a cold stare before I let out a smile, to show him that it's fine.
"You don't have to worry about it. I've been living in the manor with only one servant so I don't need as many as that," I said.
There was doubt on his expression when he left the chamber together with the other servants.
The lady seems to not know how to speak, she was just standing without giving me any word or even a greeting.
I rest my chin on my palm while giving her a long stare.
"Aren't you going to speak?" I asked.
She raised her head before she bowed. "Greetings your Highness, I am Fara Jeremiah. I will be your servant and will only follow your words even if it means dying in your stead."
Her tone was calm yet I can feel her sincerity in every words she said. How come that this lady became a servant?
I gave her a warm smile. I think I had just picked a wolf instead of a dog. I never knew that raising a wolf would be this interesting.
"I'm glad that I chose you, I've never been this contented since I came back." I saw how her eyes moved as if thoughts are playing inside her mind.
"Pardon your Highness?" she asked with confusion visible on her eyes that made me chuckled.
"I only have two rules for you as my servant Fara," I said with my lips parting to hide my grin.
I stand up and adjusted my nightgown before sipping the tea from the teacup. Her eyes were following my movement as if she was examining and memorizing every moves I make.
"First rule, your loyalty should only belong to me. I don't want you to follow any commands from others if it's not me even if it means betraying the one who sent you here, the Crown Prince right?" Upon hearing what I said, her emotions are playing with her making her shuddered with horror.
I can only see her eyes avoiding mine, she does realized what I just said. That I already know about her purpose as my servant, but I'm not that heartless. I am already giving her a better purpose of living, not just as a servant who belongs to the Crown Prince, but as my servant with freedom.
"Second, if you cannot follow my first rule then my second rule would be..." I paused for a moment to see her reaction and chuckled when I saw how afraid she was.
"Kill yourself, that's my second rule. I don't want to have a soldier that will only betray me in the end, so better kill yourself if you cannot fulfill my rule number one."
Her eyes blinked for a moment, biting her lips and playing with her fingers. She might be thinking of her decision, it's up to her though. I don't know what sort of offer did Hades had given to her since I don't exactly know her background, but it doesn't mean that I would play as a kind lady to raise such servant that will only betray me.
"W-What do you mean by s-soldier your Highness?" she asked with stutter.
I sat on the right side of the bed before crossing my legs forming a letter V in between my thighs.
"Of course, this is a war. Power, money, law, and the throne are all weapons to extract the victory."
She didn't seems to understand my point. She looks down before raising her head on my direction.
"Why are you giving me such offer your Highness? I thought you love the Crown Prince? Why would you do such thing that would cause a war between the two of you?" she asked with confidence.
I haven't said all of it but it seems like she understand everything from the start until the end. She's sharp, the sharper she is, the more it gets dangerous if she will betray me.
"Love? I don't think it's appropriate to call it like that since my feelings has nothing to do with that word. I've already forgotten the day I've felt such thing, since I am no longer in love with him." I chuckled upon realizing that everything I did was because of that stupid word, the love that caused me to lose my humanity.
I clapped my hands to wake her up from her thoughts. I know she's doubting, but it would be better for her to choose me because I know, I will win.
"You know what? In the game of chess, Queens are able to move wherever they like, but the Kings? They can only stay from one square at a time until they win or either they lose the game. They can't do anything because they are useless without its pieces. What I'm telling you is, Hades will never win against me so better choose me and trust me."
It was a minute before she closed her eyes firmly and breathe heavily, I saw how her fists clenched before her aura became calm.
"I am Fara Jeremiah your Majesty. I will be at your service," she said on bended knees.
I smirked. "You've done well, Fara."
My eyes roamed around the peaceful gazebo. The place seems to have a very caring gardener since it makes me feel like I am at home.
"Hi." I heard the voice from my back.
When I turned my head around, I saw him staring at my back and our eyes met when I looked at him.
I smiled brightly. Honestly, I was feeling nervous and scared that he might not attend this meeting, with me.
I was very reckless last night, to propose such embarrassing deal that would make me uncomfortable, but I can't lose this chance because it's either now or the chance will never come.
I invited him to sit and tried to act normal in front of him. He stayed silent when he sat on the vacant chair in front of me, he rested his chin on his palm looking at me with no emotions in his eyes.
I gulped when I felt his stare as if he's reading my mind. I can't stepped back from this moment, I no longer need to hide what I am thinking since in the past, I already committed an unforgivable sin.
"Your Highness, what type of woman do you like as your wife?" I asked to start the conversation.
His eyebrows rose before he crossed his arms. "I don't particularly like any woman," he answered.
As expected from him, he does really think that women are the same.
"Then your Highness, are you into boys?" I asked confidently.
"No."
He answered very quickly like he was expecting me to asked that. How could he be so sharp?
I coughed for a moment before I smiled from ear to ear. "How about me your Highness? Will I be able to pass as your wife?" I asked.
He gave me a long cold stare before he answered.
"You're my brother's fiancee."
I fidget my fingers to hide my embarrassment, I know it's a rejection but I can't show it to him that I'm disappointed.
There's still time, I can still convinced him.
"Will you believe me if I tell you that I don't love the Crown Prince?" I asked softly.
He didn't gave any reaction, he stared longer before he shook his head lightly.
I felt heavy inside me, he won't believe me either what I said is true or a lie. It won't be easy because of this rotten title on my head.
The Crown Prince's fiancee.
Yes, there's nothing new. I only have the upper hand in the past because of this title, the Crown Princess and Hades's Fiancee.
I strive so hard to earn the power for Hades not giving myself a tiny care. I thought that if everything will be his, the Crown, the throne, the power as the next Emperor, I thought that I am part of it.
But I was just a pawn in his game who wasn't able to step the last square to be a Queen, I never had the chance to stand beside him when he got the victory he wanted.
I...,wasn't part of it.
"Your Highness, I will not stop from convincing you." Even if it means seducing you, I will do it just to have your heart and I will learn to love you too Pursues so that in the end, I will never have any regret of choosing what's best for my victory.
I stand and bowed to give my farewell but I stopped when I heard what he said.
"Give me a reason Talia, give me a reason that will push me to have you because if I do that, I will no longer think of you as his fiancee. Too bad I am much more dirty than him, owning you is very easy to me. I will... never let go of you."
When was it? When was the last time I felt this feeling?
I bit my lower lip before giving him a smile, the most sincere smile I've let out since the day I was reborn again.
"There's only one reason your Highness," I paused when I remembered everything from the past.
From when I first saw him to that night when he begged on me. All of it was the answer, it's just that I cannot tell everything to him.
"Because you deserve everything your Highness, everything and I'm willing to do anything just to give everything to you because you are the most deserving man I've met since I was born." Since I was reborn, you're the only man I wanted beside me.
"I see, then let's do that. Let's destroy that law called 'Adultery' is that it?" he said.
Before I could open my mouth, I felt how my body trembled when he suddenly bended his knees. The memory of him begging on his knees flashed inside my mind.
He held my hand and the horror I felt earlier disappeared when he kissed my hand before he grinned.
"With this, I'm marking you. You're mine, okay?"
How? How is he able to do that?
He's not a silent guy at all!
It was around afternoon when Fara told me that the banquet for the celebration of Hades's 16th birthday will be today. That's why I am here right now, sitting in front of the mirror while Fara was doing my hair.My twelve-year-old appearance is exactly the same as what I remember, a beauty of a young lady. There's nothing new, I still have the beauty that can seduce other men. My eyebrows furrowed when Pursues's face suddenly flashed inside my mind, that night when he kissed my hand."Fara," I called."Yes, your Highness?" she answered. She's still not yet done doing my hair."What do you think of me? Am I pretty?" I asked. She looked on the mirror, seeing my face before her eyes went back to my hair. "You're not just pretty your Highness, you're the most gorgeous among the noble ladies."I pouted. "It's not like you've seen all the noble ladies." Especially that woman, the woman I've been wa
I was holding my skirt firmly as I ran across the hallway from the exit of the banquet hall. The only thing that matters for me is to do my revenge, to make them pay for what they've done in the past, but how could he act like that? What changed him? When I reached the hallway to the nearest entrance near the library, I saw Fara leaning against the wall and when her eyes found me, she immediately walk towards me. "Your Highness, the librarian already left and this place is already secured just like what you ordered." I removed my heels before entering the library. Fara was holding my heels before she locked the entrance door of the library. I immediately walked towards the area where the history books of the Sylvestre are kept. My eyes landed on the bookshelves with the crest of the Imperial Palace, it's exactly the same as the past. This area has always been a s
"It's a great morning my Lady," the Butler greeted before he led me inside the dining hall.I was welcomed by the two princes, Frontier Sylvestre and Caspian Sylvestre. They were eating silently when I entered the dining hall, it looks like they doesn't really give any interest to their surroundings.I silently sat down on the dining chair beside Caspian. I tried not to make a noise when I started lifting my spoon and knife to slice the steak."How old are you?"I paused when I heard Frontier's question. I looked at him and realized that he was looking at me, is he asking me about my age?"I'm twelve your Highness," I answered. His lips parted before giving me a slight smile. "I'm thirteen, Caspian is the same but I'm two months older than him. Do you like horse riding?" he asked.I shook my head before eating the spoon of sliced steak and broccoli. In the past, I always lo
I heard the loud noise from the outside realizing that father was already back from his trip. I immediately ran outside while holding the book I was reading and eventually saw my father entering with a child beside him. My eyebrows furrowed. "Father, who's that?" I asked trying to hide my irritation. His eyes found mine before he started to whimper like a puppy, what the hell? "He's going to be your brother," he answered before he carried the child on his arms. It's not like the child can't walk so why would father carry him. I scoffed before rolling my eyes. I can't believe it, that child? As my brother? It triggers me to pull his body away from my father's arm, I don't like him. "Honey, you're back." Mother went down from the stairs and stopped when her eyes found the child on father's arms. "He's Trevor honey, he's going to be our son." "Wait, Trejhan you didn't told me
We arrived at the Palace by the help of sir Ocea. He said that Hades receive the notice of my absence in the palace and thought that I was at the D'aureville manor.Fara was carrying Trevor on her arms, she insisted on carrying him since Trevor fell asleep when we were on the carriage."Thank your Sir Ocea," I said with a smile on my face.He seems to be in daze, I tried waving my hand in front of his face to wake him up.His eyes blinked for a moment before he bowed with panic. "It's a pleasure to serve you, your Highness."It appears that he needs a better rest since he's about to lose his energy.Fara was following my steps when we reached the entrance door of the Emerald Palace where I am staying. It's the palace that was given to me by Hades himself, a Palace for Princesses.I was about to open the door when suddenly Fara pulled me at the back of the wall near the pine trees.I hissed when I s
"What is that?" I stopped from writing when Fara entered, carrying a white box."It's an invitation for you your Highness," she answered and put the box on the table.I lowered my pen on the table before opening the box with dozen of invitation cards.I got to see myself feeling irritated because of the envelopes I am seeing right now.I checked the invitation cards one by one and realized that they are from different noble ladies. Those little girls only knows how to specialize their teacups and desserts on the table, I don't think I can learn anything from them.I finished checking the invitation cards and let out a sigh when I found nothing that caught my interest."Burn it all," I ordered.Fara removed the box together with the cards from my table before leaving my room.I stretched my arms before massaging my temple to ease my headache, I've been writing some important thin
I have to say that I quite regret what I did in Seleste's banquet. Since the day after that, another dozens of invitation cards arrived with notice that they actually heard what happened.I'm having a headache because of these cards I'm seeing, it would be really hard to deny their invitations since they already heard about me, attending the banquet of Seleste."Fara, have you heard about Hades?" I asked curiously."No your Highness," she answered.I barely have enough sleep and now I'm having a hard time seeing Hades in the palace. I was about to ask about these invitations to stop the palace from accepting. How can I even meet all of them? All of the invitations are all about tea parties, I don't know if I can even socialize with those little girls.I bit my lower lip before I slapped my forehead, this is too much of a headache."How about hosting a banquet your Highness?"I stopped a
"Master!" Trevor embraced my waist when I entered the room where he is staying. It looks like he's having a comfortable time with Fara since I haven't heard any bad reports coming from Fara's mouth. "I missed you master," he whispered. I just stood up and didn't respond. It was a busy day and I needed him to train, he needs to have physical knowledge about swords. "We're going somewhere Trevor," I said. He remained hugging my waist. "Where?" he asked. I tried to pull his arms circling around my waist but he was reluctant to let go. I took a deep breath and sigh. "It's a secret Trevor so let go of me and follow me," I answered. He was sulking when he let go from hugging my waist. I just shrugged off my thoughts and left the room together with him. We arrived at the backyard of the Emerald Palace seeing Fara and sir Ocea on their sparring uniform.

I took a deep breath before getting the pen and the paper on my bag. I opened the 13th page and started writing.“Spring has come but I feel like Iʼm a naked body standing outside the winter. Shivering and being devoured by the cold. All those days of plague and pain has overwhelmed me and turned my life into mayhem. Little by little I am swallowed by the devastating world and hollowed by afflictions and self-doubt.Those floral days are over, paradise fled away and transmigrated into a dire world filled with pure melancholy.”Upon writing those words I crumpled the paper and throwed it. I dropped my pen for I donʼt know what to write anymore. When I turn my gaze outside the window, the sunset was creating a light to the path of freedom.I smiled with warmth painted on my face. As I started to write another letter for the next 14th page.Dear Unknown,
The sky wears a mix color of black and gray. I cast about some luscious voice but heard the whisper of the cold wind that will likely bring downpour and thunder.Later I witnessed the cloudburst of little white flowers so as all the grievance and mourning that spreads sorrow to the entire atmosphere.I literally donʼt understand the unforseen happenings but wished for all of them to quit whining. Seconds had passed, I saw myself somewhere deep in a cold stratum. I didnʼt realize that darkness offered tranquility in this overwhelming situation. It goes like this all the time, I miss everything that I had back then such as the chirping of the little birds that creates a soothing melody. Ocean waves rage and banged through the sea rocks. Itʼs been too long since Iʼve seen the dawn so as the sun that peeks through the mountain and greets a good morning. I havenʼt seen the stars and the moon and couldnʼt grasp a chance to acquaint them all my lamentations and

Talia's pov.Mind of mine was in its peaceful state, caught up with the silence of the whole room. Lately, I've been grasping the scent of old books I've always read in the past. I missed the old times, the scent of books and painted calligraphy so as discerning the dust particles in the air from the old bookshelves. While I am sipping the tea from my teacup, I was reminiscing the old good times when I was still at my teenage years. I was the lady who chose to stay silent and lived a life without getting involved into any tensions."Rumors that the nobles failed to pass their request about abolishing your crown. That's why the Sylvestrian people are creating a ruckus outside the Imperial Palace to surrender the imperial seal," Declan said.I hummed and put the teacup on the table. "I guess they aren't good enough," I mumbled.A servant suddenly arrived while holding a tray of glass of water and a medicine. "Greetings,
Third person's pov.The clock hits midnight and its sound was echoing throughout the tranquility of the night. The storm was on a rage outside while the nobles and governed officials were silently aligned inside the inner court of the Imperial Palace. They commence a meeting in order for them to propose their assumptions and as usual, they are taking advantage of the Crown Princess's rumored critical condition."Allow us to speak for our nation, your Majesty."Despite the ruckus inside the Imperial Palace, the Emperor was able to attend the meeting. It is their chance to abolish the Crown Princess from her position.Hades on the other hand was taking his nap on his palm while observing them."You may speak," the Emperor said.Duke Seleste was the first in line as the representative of the nobles's table. He stepped forward, hands on the filthy ground and bended his knees resembling that he is

Arcaine already left while Trevor remained. We stayed silent for a couple of minutes, or maybe, nobody wants to talk. I wanted to ask him about what happened to him when I was gone, but I couldn't open my mouth. I was reluctant to ask, nor give him a look without hesitation. He seems not to bother with the cold...winter is already coming. "It's unfair..." I glanced at him and our eyes suddenly met. Tears were on his eyes while wearing a smile on his lips. "Why do you always hurt me?" he asked. "What am I supposed to do in order for you to not hurt me?" "I wish for your happiness more than anyone else," he whispered. My mind went blank and I found myself giving him a cold look. Did something happened while I was gone? Or maybe...something changed. "Everyone have been trying to kill you ever since you became the Crown Princess. I told myself that you'll be fine and nothing will ha
"How is everything?" I asked. He stumbled upon answering my question. "I told you, everything is going according to your plan. The only problem is that boy...Trevor.""He's a man," I hissed and rest my chin on my palm. "What about him?" I asked."There's something wrong about him. Not only the color of his soul, but his actions are too repulsive. He's crazy over you," he said.I chuckled while looking straight to the pen I am fidgeting on my fingers. "Why? Did he kill some knights while trying to find me?"His eyebrows furrowed before he shook his head. He took the vacant chair and placed it in front of me. He sat on the chair and crossed his legs, manly."I've never seen a soul like yours and him. It's difficult to explain in words, but I can say that it's filled with darkness. However, there is a difference between yours and him."He place the empty glass on the table. "That glass is you, your soul is l
