"Master!"
Trevor embraced my waist when I entered the room where he is staying. It looks like he's having a comfortable time with Fara since I haven't heard any bad reports coming from Fara's mouth.
"I missed you master," he whispered.
I just stood up and didn't respond. It was a busy day and I needed him to train, he needs to have physical knowledge about swords.
"We're going somewhere Trevor," I said.
He remained hugging my waist. "Where?" he asked.
I tried to pull his arms circling around my waist but he was reluctant to let go. I took a deep breath and sigh.
"It's a secret Trevor so let go of me and follow me," I answered.
He was sulking when he let go from hugging my waist. I just shrugged off my thoughts and left the room together with him.
We arrived at the backyard of the Emerald Palace seeing Fara and sir Ocea on their sparring uniform.
"I brought the child," I said before pulling Trevor's hand for him to move forward.
Trevor was clinging on my skirt while scoffing, I think he didn't like what he just saw.
"They're going to train you Trevor." I tapped his head before I led him closer to them.
Sir Ocea seems confused with the child I just brought. I asked him to have his spare time, I just thought that with Sir Ocea and Fara training the little Trevor would be a great result in the near future.
I need him to be the most trusted person until I no longer need him, that would be the time to end his life.
I tilt my head while crossing my arms when Trevor seems to not cooperating with Sir Ocea, they were actually learning about how to hold a sword using a wooden sword.
I yawned when Trevor keep looking in my direction before sulking. It was easier in the past since father was the one who taught him how to wield a sword.
It will be hard with this kind of training.
I walked closely towards them and coughed to get their attention. Trevor beamed while Sir Ocea seems to be having a disease because of how stress his look was.
I took the sword from Sir Ocea's hand before I swing it and pointed it on Trevor's chest.
"You said that you want to stay with me forever, right?" I asked.
He nodded. "I want to stay with you forever, master."
I remained calm with a serious expression written on my face.
"Then, attack me. Attack me Trevor so that when the time comes that I will have to kill you, you can still fight Trevor. Fight for your life and stay with me," I said.
I can only hear the sound of the wind lingering inside my ears, the sound of the leaves from the trees that was blown by the wind, and the chirp sound of the birds flying from the sky.
His expression changed, deeper than a normal expression, I can only see his black pupil and his tiny but penetrating red iris.
"I don't want to use a sword," he said making me shiver down to my spine.
I felt how the blurred pictures flashed on my eyes as if I am standing nowhere watching the two kids sparring endlessly.
"You're gay! You're too weak," the little girl said with annoyance visible on her tone.
"I don't want to use a sword." He threw the sword before sitting on the ground.
The little girl rolled her eyes before giving her left hand to the little boy scoffing on the ground.
"Let's use our fists then," she said but the little boy shook his head.
"I don't want to."
The little girl held her hand back and crossed her arms. "What's your problem? How am I going to train you?" she asked irritatedly.
I stepped back before pulling my hair roughly trying to take away the pictures I've been seeing.
"I don't want anything," he answered and rest his head on his knees.
"What? I thought you wanted to get stronger?" the little girl asked with confusion in her face.
"Yes, but not with these." He lifted the sword before throwing it back on the ground.
"Why?"
"Because I don't want to hurt you," he answered.
I felt how tears poured out from my eyes, stop it... Stop it!
I heard loud calls and blurred pictures of the people around me, I felt my body being carried by someone before I closed my eyes.
Please don't let me see it again, I don't want to regret anything.
Because I might wake up one day, doubting myself and realizing that everything that happened in the past was all my fault.
I can feel the heavy cold cloth on my forehead when I opened my eyes. Was it already night?
My mind was a little blurry, did I passed out?
"Fara," I called.
"Yes, I'm here your Highness."
I turned my head on my left side and I saw Fara sitting on the chair while holding my left hand.
I can see the worry and sadness from her expression. Why is she like this? Did something even happened?
"Why are you giving me that look Fara?" I asked softly.
My eyes widened when she suddenly burst a cry while holding my hand. did something bad... happened?
"Why?"
I felt the heaviness of my eyes as if pulling me to the nearest darkness until I lost my consciousness.
Since I was born, I was already bestowed the title of the Crown Princess. I was destined to be the Empress, to stand beside the Emperor that's why I was competent of having his attention.
I first met him when I was eight, it was my birthday, a season of winter.
That day, we took a painting together as a memory of our first meeting.
He was handsome but I can't read him. He was always wearing an emotionless face and I rarely see him smile, I feel like I'm not important to him.
I kept thinking that he's only like that because he doesn't know how to show his emotions, that's why I tried so hard to have his attention.
Until Father arrived from his trip, he brought a little boy. He was a cry baby, he keeps clinging on my father's arm and irritates me that's why I called him and told him to stay with me from now own.
He was obedient, a good listener but there's something I don't really understand about him.
The way he looked at me was a bit different, I thought it was nothing but I was wrong, he told me about his feelings.
He love me, that's what he said.
I was afraid of him because of that, it was pathetic to hear from him since I am her sister, I am destined to be married with the Crown Prince.
That's why I left him, I left to cut the thread trying to pull us closer.
"Your Highness?"
I slowly opened my eyes and I saw Fara who was looking at me.
"You're too close Fara," I whispered.
She averted her face before she sat back on the chair. The image of her, crying while holding my hand appeared on my eyes.
"Did you cry?" I asked.
She stopped before she shook her head. "No, your Highness."
Was it a dream?
"Why are you here?" I asked.
She was cutting and peeling off the apple. It's rare to see her here, she was always staying outside the door and wait for my call.
"I am here to guard you your Highness," she answered making my eyebrows furrowed.
"Why? Did I get attacked while I'm peacefully sleeping?"
The plate broke when it suddenly fell from her hands. She looked at me with her eyes widened, what is her problem?
"Fara—"
"Your Highness I have something to ask," she said cutting my words off.
My lips parted before I nod. "What is it?"
"Your Highness, why did you scream that time? You keep saying no and stop. Why?" she asked.
That time?
"That time? What do you mean? It was only yesterday."
I flinched when her hands gripped my shoulders and looked at me with her darkened expression.
"You're wrong your Highness."
"What? Stop giving me a cliffhanger and just tell me Fara," I said with annoyance.
We stared with each other before the loud storm struck inside my head when I heard what she said.
"You've been asleep for three months your Highness, the Crown Prince already declare that you might not wake up again."
Please don't forget to rate this chapter! The calamity of Talia's life is already starting.
I was always sitting at the edge of the dining chair far from him as if I am stranger to him. He always say that he loves me that's why I pretend... He always promised that he won't leave me that's why I forget... He always promised that I will stand beside him that's why I trust... Everything I did was all because I love him. I created a large effort, I collect numerous of supports, and in exchange of that is losing my humanity. I kill to have better results, I made them beg on their knees because I know I'm powerful. I lost every emotions because I thought that love alone is fine. The most painful thing that happened to me was betrayal. "Talia we can still talk about this, please trust me. My brother doesn't love you, he's only using you!" "Shut up!" No matter what they say, no matter what they tell me that Hades doesn't love me, I won't believe it.
I can see myself roaming around the hall trying to find Pursues, I've been curious as to what did he felt when I was gone that long."Your Highness."My eyes stopped on the man standing beside me, he looks a bit older than my father. Who is he?"You might be curious about who I am," he said after giving me a glass of juice. He sipped his wine on his wine glass before looking at me with his playful smile. What the heck is his problem?"I am Duke Richmond your Highness," he said before giving me his hand.I looked at his hand before going back to his face who was still smiling. "Do you know the best music to play in an orchestra?" I asked. He lowered his hand before he answered."I don't know your Highness."I remained unfazed as my eyes landed on the orchestra playing the music that wasn't familiar to me."Vergene Bella," I answered.I glanced at t
10 years later... Judith Slaying Holofernes is a painting by the Italian early Baroque artist Artemisia Gentileschi, the canvas shows Judith beheading Holofernes. The painting shows the moment when Judith, helped by her maidservant Abra, beheads the general after he has fallen asleep in a drunken stupor. I wouldn't like to do such kind of act since I like playing the victim as if I am beheaded. It already happened in the past, on the guillotine, my head was offered. Judith, who uses her beauty and charm to destroy an Assyrian general and save Israel from oppression. Thinking about it, seduction was her best way of taking revenge to that asshole. "Your Highness." I slightly turn my head on my back seeing Duke Richmond walking closely towards my direction. "I see, you've quite taken a like with that painting your Highness," he said while looking at the wall sized painting.
"Your Highness, you never fail to disappoint me with your beauty. Day by day you're becoming a goddess, do you mind giving me a tip?" Duchess Xerafia rolled her eyes when her sister, Xamara Gregor said it. I chuckled. "You don't have to compliment me that much Duchess, we all have our own beauty and yours is quite a beauty of a tulips." "Look at her sister, such a humble lady. I didn't expect you to visit my sister," she said before she called the servant to prepare the eggpies. "And here you are, entertaining my guest instead of taking care of your daughter." Duchess Xiafara opened her hand fan while glaring at her sister. Both of them are really opposite with each other. I first met Duchess Xiafara in Viadel, she was lost that time and I helped her. That was the time when I realized that she is from the manor of Estrella and the sister of Duchess Xamara Gregor, the wife of Duke Frederic Gregor. The Gregor owned the go
"Your Highness?" Sir Ocea put the box he was carrying on the ground before walking closely to us. His eyes moved on Pursues direction who was comfortably giving him a smile while carrying the basket. His eyes shows a question of 'Why is he here?' and I shrug before avoiding my eyes from him. Sorry Sir Idea, but I can't answer your question. "So this is Viadel, what sort of business do you have in here Talia?" Pursues asked while roaming his eyes around the place. "That's... I have my brother living here," I answered. "Brother?" He looked at me with his eyebrows furrowed. "Yes, your Highness. I'm just going to visit him," I answered. I walked pass before him and tapped Sir Ocea's left shoulder. I can't believe I'm having a hard time with Pursues accompanying me. It's just that Trevor might get anxious or think of something bad when he sees Pursues with me. I o
"Your Highness please get up, you have to get ready for the banquet." I opened my eyes and frowned when I realized that I have to attend a banquet today, the worst is that I'm going to attend with Hades as my partner. I haven't had enough sleep because of last night. I giggled in irritation with the thought of attending a banquet with the guy who just sent those men to kill me. I don't know what he's planning inside his mind but I guess it is connected with the banquet today. "Last night, did you caught that man who shoot me with the arrow?" I asked. I sat on the chair in front of the mirror and she started to comb my hair. She shook her head before giving me a black box. "He dropped that your Highness." When I opened the box, a necklace with a dagger was inside. I gritted my teeth before I plastered an annoying smile, he's really desperate. "Phoenix..." I uttered the name of
Third Person's pov."Your Highness—"The loud sound from the broken glass echoed in the corner of the dark room. Hades was cussing inside his head while trying to calm himself in the middle of his anger."Where's that bastard?" he asked firmly."Who, your Highness?" the Butler asked.Hades slammed the table before glaring at the Butler's direction who was looking down, unable to see the appearance of Hades."Phoenix, where is he?" he asked before closing his eyes firmly. The anger he felt cannot be compared on how Talia created an image of a victorious woman when she whispered those words. He was sure that Phoenix can do a better job especially when it's from him, unless Phoenix is a traitor and wanted to sabotage him."The third Prince is nowhere to be seen in the Palace your Highness, I already checked—""Fuck! Shut up! You useless piece
Talia's Pov. I swallowed hard before stretching my fingers to ease the tension I am feeling inside. I coughed and pressed my chest to stop myself from panicking. There was a long way for me to succeed and this is the battle where I can use my power as the Crown Princess. I need to gamble my advantage and lessen my disadvantage inside the door after this, the aristocrats meeting will be happened. Aristocrats meeting where the table is the one controlling each of every seat of the highest to the lowest nobility. When I felt that I'm already set, I formed a bright smile on my lips before opening the door. The loud chatters from the nobles echoed the whole room, such a stupid sight. My eyes landed on my father who was waving his hand, I waved back and smiled sincerely. The nobles started to lower their chatters when they felt my presence until

I took a deep breath before getting the pen and the paper on my bag. I opened the 13th page and started writing.“Spring has come but I feel like Iʼm a naked body standing outside the winter. Shivering and being devoured by the cold. All those days of plague and pain has overwhelmed me and turned my life into mayhem. Little by little I am swallowed by the devastating world and hollowed by afflictions and self-doubt.Those floral days are over, paradise fled away and transmigrated into a dire world filled with pure melancholy.”Upon writing those words I crumpled the paper and throwed it. I dropped my pen for I donʼt know what to write anymore. When I turn my gaze outside the window, the sunset was creating a light to the path of freedom.I smiled with warmth painted on my face. As I started to write another letter for the next 14th page.Dear Unknown,
The sky wears a mix color of black and gray. I cast about some luscious voice but heard the whisper of the cold wind that will likely bring downpour and thunder.Later I witnessed the cloudburst of little white flowers so as all the grievance and mourning that spreads sorrow to the entire atmosphere.I literally donʼt understand the unforseen happenings but wished for all of them to quit whining. Seconds had passed, I saw myself somewhere deep in a cold stratum. I didnʼt realize that darkness offered tranquility in this overwhelming situation. It goes like this all the time, I miss everything that I had back then such as the chirping of the little birds that creates a soothing melody. Ocean waves rage and banged through the sea rocks. Itʼs been too long since Iʼve seen the dawn so as the sun that peeks through the mountain and greets a good morning. I havenʼt seen the stars and the moon and couldnʼt grasp a chance to acquaint them all my lamentations and
Third Person's pov.Her mind must be a grave of unsaid thoughts and those unspoken that are fettered with tribulation. She spent an hour of looking her own reflection through the whole body-sized mirror. A tall woman of more than average of a statue, a lustrous neck length hair with a white fitted wedding gown. Her eyes were sparkling with solitude and her mind was fighting with compatriot. She, who has the power of vengeance will step inside the sacred room to proceed with the rebellion. She wears a lustrous image but she wrote a bloody rhymes inside her mind. She once dreamed of wearing a beautiful wedding dress, she once dreamed a peaceful wedding with her husband on her side. It was a vintage pavement on her mind that only withered like a dry branches.Narrowed by how the time passed by whilst she was standing with power and confidence on a whole body-sized mirror that was bereft by serene melodies.A glitch of her
Talia's pov.Mind of mine was in its peaceful state, caught up with the silence of the whole room. Lately, I've been grasping the scent of old books I've always read in the past. I missed the old times, the scent of books and painted calligraphy so as discerning the dust particles in the air from the old bookshelves. While I am sipping the tea from my teacup, I was reminiscing the old good times when I was still at my teenage years. I was the lady who chose to stay silent and lived a life without getting involved into any tensions."Rumors that the nobles failed to pass their request about abolishing your crown. That's why the Sylvestrian people are creating a ruckus outside the Imperial Palace to surrender the imperial seal," Declan said.I hummed and put the teacup on the table. "I guess they aren't good enough," I mumbled.A servant suddenly arrived while holding a tray of glass of water and a medicine. "Greetings,
Third person's pov.The clock hits midnight and its sound was echoing throughout the tranquility of the night. The storm was on a rage outside while the nobles and governed officials were silently aligned inside the inner court of the Imperial Palace. They commence a meeting in order for them to propose their assumptions and as usual, they are taking advantage of the Crown Princess's rumored critical condition."Allow us to speak for our nation, your Majesty."Despite the ruckus inside the Imperial Palace, the Emperor was able to attend the meeting. It is their chance to abolish the Crown Princess from her position.Hades on the other hand was taking his nap on his palm while observing them."You may speak," the Emperor said.Duke Seleste was the first in line as the representative of the nobles's table. He stepped forward, hands on the filthy ground and bended his knees resembling that he is
The crumble sound from the teardrops weren't able to hide the bitterness of the footsteps from the lonely soul—thy dress in pure white.I fathomed that every footsteps were concealed with deep meaning. She was walking and walking...and walking that I could memorized her figure from her long sunrise hair, dancing along with the unsteady wind so as the wavering dry leaves were wandering in the void space.Melancholy and a fainted pictures appeared before my eyes, memories that I didn't want to go back yet I didn't want to forget.I memorized every single detail of those messy pictures ascending above on the dreary sky. Her footsteps were creating a pattern of emotions—it was empty and sorrowful. As thy cold wind touched my skin, I retrieved that the lonely soul was part of my memories. I felt disgust about those flickering scene that I didn't expect to see again. What is this? A nightmare? A dream? Or maybe i
Arcaine already left while Trevor remained. We stayed silent for a couple of minutes, or maybe, nobody wants to talk. I wanted to ask him about what happened to him when I was gone, but I couldn't open my mouth. I was reluctant to ask, nor give him a look without hesitation. He seems not to bother with the cold...winter is already coming. "It's unfair..." I glanced at him and our eyes suddenly met. Tears were on his eyes while wearing a smile on his lips. "Why do you always hurt me?" he asked. "What am I supposed to do in order for you to not hurt me?" "I wish for your happiness more than anyone else," he whispered. My mind went blank and I found myself giving him a cold look. Did something happened while I was gone? Or maybe...something changed. "Everyone have been trying to kill you ever since you became the Crown Princess. I told myself that you'll be fine and nothing will ha
"How is everything?" I asked. He stumbled upon answering my question. "I told you, everything is going according to your plan. The only problem is that boy...Trevor.""He's a man," I hissed and rest my chin on my palm. "What about him?" I asked."There's something wrong about him. Not only the color of his soul, but his actions are too repulsive. He's crazy over you," he said.I chuckled while looking straight to the pen I am fidgeting on my fingers. "Why? Did he kill some knights while trying to find me?"His eyebrows furrowed before he shook his head. He took the vacant chair and placed it in front of me. He sat on the chair and crossed his legs, manly."I've never seen a soul like yours and him. It's difficult to explain in words, but I can say that it's filled with darkness. However, there is a difference between yours and him."He place the empty glass on the table. "That glass is you, your soul is l
